Simple question leads to many opinions and no facts.
folks you all know that att does not give you anything! Its a show of interest so they can get an idea of how many would take it. They have not made a offer...Once you sign it they can let you go saying for gave your signature and they now have the right to let you go.
What surplus?
The VSB has been offered every December for about 10 years

Why ? Because the company sent out VSB notices to most workers of District 9. Related to surplused employees who would opt for open positions created by VSB . The company also stated that this VSB would be offered quarterly in District 9. Appears that surplused employees will be the norm in the near future.
