Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I'm excited to go back into the office but..

I think they should ease into it. Have the requirement be something like the following so its less stressful for people.

1st Month - 1 day required a week
2nd Month - 2 days required a week
3rd Month - 3 days required a week

I'm excited about RTO just because all the shorts and halter tops.

Work? What's that? If they really wanted us to work, they'd tell us to keep working at home. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

You are correct. I explained this a few weeks back. The test is a condition for your employment and that must be met before work can start.

Nope it does not. It starts after testing. You are required to complete testing before you're allowed in, and your time doesn't start until you get in the door. It basically counts as part of your commute.

paid work time starts from the time you queue up to get tested....not when you appear at your desk. basic hourly compensation rule.

@ldo+1eeAXB92 - Before the pandemic I was 100% remote. I plan to do that.

I’m not at all looking forward to going back to the office but I am partially looking forward to that schadenfreude when they see how big of a failure their directive is. I just hope I don’t catch the Covid.

What did you do before the pandemic? Just do that.

I'm not looking forward to the long commute and dealing with traffic once we go back to the office.

"we're not delicate little flowers"

You're an easily damaged organic life form just like a flower. In fact, much worse: flowers can't be destroyed by their own emotions and thoughts.

I've said it before. Badge scan reports given to management, tracking on the PC itself, location reports from pulse or any one of those tools, and so on. They will be pretty strict with badging as well. If your job starts at 8, you'll be required to be tested -if unvaxed- and at your desk by your start time. There's a myriad of ways they can tell down to the minute how much work you're doing and where. Floor marshals will be at the offices as well.

I'd like to know how their going to monitor and enforce this, and if there are any layoff implications.

Lot of us are in teams that are scattered across the world. In my team, no two of us work in the same state, and if any of us met on the street we would not know it.

So again, how are they going to know WHERE the work is getting done, as long as the work GETS done? And why should it matter? It's 2021, not 1821..........

Yeah, I think it's going to go the other way. Bunch of days at first, then slowly trailing off to zero days once it's apparent that it's a waste of time.
