Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Is this the most toxic company you’ve worked for?

In my case, this is the company with the worst atmosphere I have ever worked in.
I’m only here for a pay, which is good, otherwise I wouldn’t have stayed here for a month. The work doesn’t tire me at all, but the atmosphere exhausts me completely. Every day after work I feel like someone has drained all the energy out of me.

I'm an ex-TMobile, current VZ employee. Say what you like, but we trusted Legere. We supported him. That's a big reason TMobile is doing so well. We were a skilled, capable team that has faith in our leader and our coworkers. I am amazed at the culture here. It's like your competition are your colleagues, not other companies. Everyone that works here is equally to blame, and VZ will circle the drain until we fix it.

3geo. I've heard that about the mob too. Really, really creepy place to work. They might as well be a religion. CS reps had pictures and quotes of John Legere put up in their cubes.

Not even close. Verizon is just corporate bureaucratic billscat. TMobile was downright creepy in a Stepford wife sort if way. It had (probably still has) all the same BS but they put on almost a cult like veneer over it with daily chants and catch phrases and really pushing the TMobile Life on people to make it part of everything- like last year decorate your tree at home in TMobile colors. Sales were pushed to bring in family almost like a multi level diet pill program and to not associate with family that doesn't use their services. Just like a cult

It became extremely toxic when Lowell McADUMB became CEO, this is when things went downhill for employees. I wouldn't recommend employment here to not even my worst enemy. Toxic just isn't the word anymore...I don't even have the word to use for this place.

Verizon has been a Toxic work environment ever since Hanz took over.
All he cares about is Outsourcing, Offshoring, VSP, RIF aka Layoffs in order to remove the most tenured, talented higher paid employees, in order to pay for 5ghee. This was an Employee first, People first company, but not anymore
Verizon is now the toxic, cesspool of a typical corporation who only cares about $$$ & share holders.

Nokia ? Hans came from Ericsson.

He was let go in 2016 as large investment firms had lost patience over declining returns.

While Ericsson’s performance was slipping, Vestberg faced criticism in the media for his use of a corporate jet and for taking on the role as chair of Sweden’s Olympic Committee (SOC).

Hans 2.0

I think this is a repeat post from 3 months ago and it’s still pointless.

The most toxic company?? Not even close. Try working for a financial firm on Wall Street and you will discover levels of toxicity you couldn't even imagine. Verizon is shangri-la compared to other places I have worked.
