The engineering town hall meetings for Thursday, December 16 were abruptly cancelled today. My spidey sense was going bonkers. Then, I heard rumors of that large groups of are people being fired today via emails sent to them. Has anyone else heard something like this?

They need to start another voluntary layoff. I bet they would get a huge response.
1 person in our group of 9 got the email. Our boss did not say a thing about it. I know manager who had some folks get the email and had no knowledge until it came out. Would not surprise me to hear about layoffs in near future. Our demand has been low, no signs of any pick up, corporate is greedy. Seems like typical Honeywell FUBAR - sending out the email when they were not supposed to. Very strange indeed.
I got an email from IT/HR saying there was an error email sent to your manager/you, but I never got the original email. Did everyone get the 'we apologize for the error' email or only the chosen ones?
If you got the accident email it's likely coming after Jan 4th if enough anti vax people don't quit.

I received the email too. a little worried as to what this means. is it just a mistake or will i be layed off next week? i’m also fully vaxxed.

Is "no vax" the common denominator among people who got the email? If so, then you know you won't even get the decency of a face to face with your manager. Let that be a lesson to everyone else who remains at HoneyHell - you're considered nothing but sc-m, to be tossed aside like trash at a moment's notice.
I have several colleagues that received the email and they all expect to get laid off in the next week. It seems that this kind of premature RIF notification has happened in previous end of year layoffs. The last one anyone remembered was circa 2009/2010.
So if we received the email do you all believe we were actually targeted for layoff?

You will soon look at this as Blessing from God Himself. I have -never- heard a layoff victim of Honey say they were worse off than before getting RIF’ed in one of these layoffs.
I don’t doubt there are some folks suffering somewhere. I just haven’t heard of them. That’s >15 yrs of watching folks get cut w/o cause.
I received that email. My family is crushed. My emotional health is destroyed and I feel a deep sense of dread and fear. Normally we are a resilient bunch, but we feel anxious like never before.

Dec 9 was the original get vaccinated or else date. Now moved to Jan 4. So much for the Sine app flawless launch.
I'm reading an email sent to an employee that says "On Dec 9 an automated IT notification was incorrectly released to your manager that you had to return your computer and phone as part of the "Last Day Worked" process."
Very odd as they weren't quiting or retiring and extremely coincidentally the day after the old, final vaccination date.
Better not be true.
