After all the years Ive been here and after analyzing the dynamic between Citi employees of color and white employees reporting to the same manager it is more than apparent and obvious racism permeates through this organization. My manager is absolutely 100% bias and racist and treats my white co-workers much better than myself and my other co-workers who are of color. I never thought this would be an issue in NYC but unfortunately it is. Sadly Citi can’t and won’t do anything about it. Looking to leave this dump ASAP not because of the company but because my manager is racist and Ill lose if I bring this up to anyone. Anyone else feel this way?

Maybe....just maybe, you are the one being racist about "white people"....why is it that you always bring up race. How about do your job and be good at it, then maybe, just maybe you will get the respect you "think" you deserve! QUIT USING THE RACE CARD, IT'S REALLY GETTING OLD AND SAD! :(
Racist here ain't hiding it that's for sure. We know it's all about privilege that white folks have enjoyed for centuries. Sh-t I know white people with college degrees that are as d-mb as the day is long. Only advantage they have is the color of their skin so they fly under the radar and get taken care of.
I’ve never seen racism at Citi.
Male or female this is cause for concern. Hopefully things get better for you. Sorry you are dealing with this type of a manager. Hang in there and move to another area of Citi or company if you can. Stay strong.

Original poster here. Just based on the feedback from the white people that work at Citi, you can tell its not only my manager who is racist and thinks less than of POC. The undercover racist that work here should be openly racist. Don’t be afraid to be yourself. Let it out folks we already you exist.
Maybe your white co-workers know when to use the word "biased" and when to use the word "bias."

Yeah, go to HR, that will guarantee they get rid of you at next layoff because companies hate employees that complain. Never got to HR, they only care about the best interests of the company, not the employees. That was bad advice that other poster gave you, you’re gonna get on a RIF list fast if you complain….about anything. They know once a complainer, always a complainer.

Oh my gosh, grow up. Ever consider it’s you and your work ethic/performance? Anytime you get criticized or passed over you probably scream racism. So sick of this sh1t.
Have you tried filing a complaint with HR? I know of 2 people who have done so in the past ( one regarding race related discrimination and one for religious discrimination) both complaints were taken very seriously with immediate action taken.
Absolutely I feel the same way. It was worse years ago. The bank has done a better job at resolving this internal issue.
