Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Be persistent

I know a lot of people are worried about being able to find a job at a certain age, but it's not as bad as it might seem. I started a new job a month ago and I am 57. My advice is to focus on networking and to sign up with recruiting agencies. They can be very helpful and one helped me land my current job. There are available positions with comparable pay for those of us who have entered a certain age, just don't give up and you'll find them for sure.

Super happy i moved on as well. DevSecOps as well, working on AWS, Terraform, and other newer tech. Making almost 100K more at a big tech company than i was at Fiserv. I'm not sure why i waited so long to make the move.

Early 60's, found a new job in less than 2 weeks after updating my resume. It's all about networking your skills and experience. Making more money now, better benefits, work from home, not managing anyone and focusing on #1, ME. Leave Fiserv behind folks, the toxic atmosphere, poor Exec management and the wish to dismantle what once was a very good company down to nothing. Your better than them, way better.

I had great managers and directors at Fiserv. Was bittersweet to leave but Franks policies made the decision easier.
Left knowing DevSecOps without ever putting that in my workday profile. Working on AWS for some time. If you have a skill set you’ll do well.
Today my SVP hits me up about the log4j2 CVE. Fiserv probably hasn’t figured out one exists yet. I had an and for him, pushed a maven compile. Had qa test it and pushed the deployment out.
No problem.
My SVP likes me. I like my new job. I live where I want to. Remotely. My pay is better as are my benefits.
I’m even up for a Christmas bonus. Not much of one but my SVP is pushing for a token for me.
Couldn’t be happier. Bye bye Fiserv.

I’m in my early 50s and was able to land an awesome job with all the benefits Frank has taken from us, as well as more money. When you know you’re good at something, sell it. You’re worth it!

It is critical to maintain contacts through this and other platforms. My entire department departed on their own to perhaps 2 or 3 companies over time. A beautiful use of corporate networking. Keep your contacts, use them and move on to a new and better life.

Well-said. Best of luck to everyone escaping Frank's abusive regime.
