Anyone planning on living outside Houston and just coming in Tuesday through Thursday?

I actually rented a crummy un-air conditioned 1-bedroom room in Montrose for $100/mo for a while. I found it off a posting board at Rice University. Drove in from Austin Sunday nights and back over Thursday nights. If you sneak out Thursday at 3:30 you can be in Austin by six. There is also a bus that leaves from downtown and goes to Austin for $19. It has wifi so you can WFH. I know a lady who did this for a while and her boss was ok with her working on the bus so she would leave at noon Thur and come back Monday by lunch time.
I know someone who occasionally sleeps at a hostel by the convention center on Discovery Green. It is $140/week. Not fancy but easy walk to the office.
You went to "collage"?? LMAO!
Beats me, I was laid off. Isn't this thelayoff.com or did I miss something?
Good deal plus you have a place to relax during lunch. Rent it for $100/night on weekends when you are away!
You can get a 1-bedroom in Montrose for under $800/mo, all bills paid. Walk to work or ride your bike.
I would. Don't live in the dumpster fire that is Houston if you can help it.

Why get a lease?
I am just going to stay a cheap hotel outside of downtown. If it is too much of a pain I will try and find a room to rent like I did 20 years ago in collage. Anything to not live full time in that dump that’s called Houston
I like my 'hybrid commute' as it is now, once or twice a week I 'commute' to Spec's for some 'meeting enhancers'.
Yes, I just signed the lease on a studio, but still I can feel some extra sick days coming on next year. Let’s call it extra long COVID rising.
3 day work week is sweet!
I knew someone who lived in Dallas who did exactly that.
Heck! Why not If you can afford it.
