6acc , In Glendale the components and Rel functions are already being done by PR. On Orion components engineering all done by PR including Source Control Drawings on parts. PR also been doing the thermal analyses and worst case analyses.

My family's hunger is RAV4enous.
Just kidding. I'm retired. All I have to worry about is ruinous Weimar Republic inflation brought to you by our Clueless Democrat run government.
So yes, I am plenty worried.

"Why move GLD all way to PR when Mexico is in backyard?" Puerto Rico is considered part of the U.S. so they can do government funded work that Mexico can't. Saw work being moved there when I was at Engines.

1rhs says " clueless reliability guy off’ed himself. Basically taunted management to cut him. Hasn’t figured it out still".

Well I will still live longer than you , and I got my severance And unemployment comp , then went on my pension. At least I had the b_lls to speak my mind while you wimps hide in your cubicals.

Why move GLD all way to PR when Mexico is in backyard. Aero has big plant in Mexico. My family work there and say its nice plant.

Glendale is being 100 percent moved to PR. All leadership selections indicate this.

I have a mixed family. Dodge, chevy, and Harley Davidson. But I treat each of them equally.

They decimated the reliability group there. Kicked me out because I dared to get in their face about OT and vacation. Fired another because he did not agree to the new leader (we changed from Clearwater control to PR) changing his PDP goals (probably mandated free OT). My associate with 30+ yrs experience left on his own. The lone guy there I recall is training Puerto Ricans to do his job.

Such bad leadership kicked me out, and I had 38 yrs. The plant manager is from 19th ave, and HR manager is of Phoenix (34th st).

How many are they going to get rid of? As many as it takes to make the smoke and mirrors game of quarterly/yearly numbers look good for Wall Street. That is the standard m.o. with Honeywell and corporate America in general. You're employed for now. Take advantage and find something better at a place that values its people.

Not everyone has been at gld for decades.

To the OP, you might not be aware there’s 2+ decades of Allied/Cote tearing the site apart. That used to be a pretty exclusive club, with tons of talent and customers that trust them to make really cool and important products. Allied/Dave Cote never believed in the model used at Glendale and hence it had to get realigned to the GE Way. It’s been sucking a little more each year since ‘05 really.

If you’re worried about rifs, go job shopping. There’s not a ton of “space” around this location, but there is in Phx. It all pays better and I haven’t heard anyone regret leaving. Always expect to get suddenly cut at any of these key rif seasons if you stay.

Gas is getting more expensive so feeding a family of Fords must be tough these days.

@OP You have known about this for how many years? And suddenly you are worried?
As for layoffs before matches, it doesn't matter to them. What matters is known expenses. Since Cote started ~20 years ago, that was what mattered. Knowing how much something would cost. You can always figure out what to do if you know what you are dealing with.

Glendale Aero should be closed. They have very poor quality and bad leadership. Run.

Is this some HR troll or VP trying to drive fear?

  1. Layoffs happen before matches, else it costs a lot more.
  2. If you had the guts to look and move, you likely can find a job for 20% more pay right now.
  3. is your family automobiles?
