What's to keep people from saying they have COVID symptoms regularly? COVID site and training clearly state you can't come to the office if you have symptoms that could be COVID.

As much as I hate it, I would be way more inclined to go along with RTO if it was 2 days/wk.
I do not think WFC should force RTO, but I am not for immature uninformed employees playing games and suggesting refusing to RTO, insubordination, and/or faking symptoms. This ruins it for all of us.
Be an adult, be informed with the real facts, get vaccinated and boosted, wear your mask and speak out loudly, consistently and reasonably to management. Make suggestions to help management do the right thing. Put those suggestions in writing, send them through email and cc the appropriate people.
Personally, I think most employees would respond more positively to 2 days per week RTO rather than 3, so there are no overlap days with crowded offices. Suggest more informative specific communications regarding how they are spacing desks out, how they are monitoring proper masking and testing, etc. I think it is management’s responsibility to cease all hotel seating and assign proper desks with appropriate space to each employee. If they don’t want to do that, than they need to get with the twentieth century and support WFH. Additionally, they need to support a culture of employees calling in sick when they have any kind of symptoms; whether it be a cold, flu, pink eye, upper respiratory infection or Covid- anything potentially contagious.
There are many intelligent suggestions to be made, and if they are made constructively: we have a better chance of coming up with a plan that benefits both employee and executives.
They should ditch the neighborhood setup and give us back assigned cubicles. The neighborhood will just add to the spread.
@mdd Get caught for fraud?? Wow, you have a vivid imagination, don’t you? You can simply say you are sick, get a test and show you were tested. Who’s to say it wasn’t just the flu, etc.? They cant PROVE fraud or bad intentions unless you guys run around on the internet/social media saying so.
Putting us back in the office (even if 100% vaxxed) won’t prevent illnesses if masks and distancing isn’t enforced and honestly I don’t see how it can be with the open floor plans and elevators, etc. The vax is to prevent us from dying not necessarily to prevent the spread. Staying home STOPS the spread.
Don’t worry—-many of us won’t have to pretend. When these clowns force everyone back to the office there will likely be outbreaks. Look at what happened at Jefferies is NYC. JPM just decided to send the unvaccinated home as well for the foreseeable future. And James Gorman (CEO of Morgan Stanley) who was a big supporter of RTO just came publicly the other day and said he was wrong. See Charlie, it’s not too late to do the right thing here. Show your employees you a little compassion and postpone RTO. You would be in good company (Fidelity, Google, Apple, FB, etc)

Technically one of the covid symptoms (especially omnicron) is feeling very tired. Many people who now have to commute a few hours a day will feel a little more sleepy than normal…..

You may have to come in on different days. It may require a negative covid test just to be safe. You may have to take PTO. There are many answers for this, based on severity and symptoms.
What do you do if you have the flu? Do we stay home and work missing the required 3 days? Or do we go in and spread flu to everyone?
You'd be required to test and could get caught for fraud if you're being paid for your lie. I'd advise against it.
