What happens if Upper Management ignores the requirement of wearing masks at the workstations? Does this become an unsafe work environment? It currently happening at WF offices.

If I thought RTO could actually help my performance in my role, I might be more open to it. Unfortunately, I don't. Similar to what others have posted --- manager in another state, primary co-workers I collaborate with in another state as well. I have a couple people within my group that are also at my site, though I have never spoken/collaborated with them as we don't work on the same things. While it could be nice to introduce myself and say 'hello', there's not a lot of reason to beyond that with interaction unless I'm just trying to 'network'. There's just so little benefit, and lots of negatives, in my humble opinion, to RTO.

False, you are required to mask up even when at your desk, unless you work in a room/office by yourself. It's on Teamworks, updated as of Dec 13.
Fear RTO will be my health downfall where I will finally be in an environment to contract Covid. Have been very careful over the past 2 years, masking everywhere, no eating indoors in restaurants, no large crowds, social distancing, vaccinated 3 times with Pfizer booster. No Covid illness yet. But RTO has a mix of vaccinated and unvaccinated in same area. Masks only required once moving around the building facilities. No social distancing requirements.
I don't begrudge anyone that wants to RTO. If that's how they are most productive, good for them. It will crater my productivity. If the company is cool with that, ok, it's their money to waste I guess.
Yeah. And I bought a keyboard and mouse to bring in because I don't want to touch anyone else's grossness (I know how gross I can be). For those doing the same, make sure you test the keyboard, the first one I bought didn't work because it wanted a driver update, which the company laptop won't let you do.
I have nothing to say to anyone at my assigned location. No peers, no reports, no manager and no one in my group, so literally everyone is a distraction. The real problem is that most of my conversations on the phone are full of confidential information, that whoever is in the next cube shouldn't be hearing, so I'll wind up 'taking a walk' so I can talk on the phone. And of course now that we don't have company phones, if I can't find a "huddle room" or mother's room or some other actual private space I'll have to walk around with my laptop open and a headset. Mucking Farvelous. Not to mention the cr-p desks, uncozy chairs, and tiny monitors I'm expected to use to be "productive". It's a joke. It's a good thing that they expect a drop in production, because that's exactly what they are gonna get.
I’m sure it will flip flop 10x by the time January 10 hits. In NC, we have high Covid numbers and the holidays will definitely increase the numbers. It will get postponed again,

i’ve been going back once or twice a week for the past month. It’s a nice change of pace.
I'm ready for everyone else to go back in.

No. Not looking forward to spending my days struggling to get work done while attempting to block out my co-workers yammering on about their weekends, their TV shows, their kids and whatever other nonsense they come up with to avoid work. Not looking forward to forced socializing at lunch because the manager can't eat by himself, or working on looking engaged in endless, pointless, repetitive meetings. Before open offices I didn't mind going in. Now it's all about blocking out distractions and dealing with people who think they need to stop and say hello to everybody they walk by.
lol office politics is a must learn lesson.

@zxy+1ejKqFpB As a new grad, I do NOT wanna go back into office. I’m learning more when I don’t see the office politics that’s going on and hear peoples tone/voice online. You’re probably just super extroverted and bored at home. Apple is also pushing back their RTO date so maybe WF will follow these big tech companies.
@ywu, I love a person who speaks their truth. And fake corporate trash is telling it like it is! I can't stand being around the co-workers - especially the gossips, the bullies, and the trailer trash.
Most of my coworkers are fake corporate trash. RTO is performative theatre. I’ll spend my three days in office avoiding any real “collaboration” by sitting in my cube/cage with my muzzle on and barking at anyone who invades my 6ft sphere. I’m actually looking forward to crushing some spirits and hurting some feelings by making the entire experience miserable enough for people to avoid me like the plague.. pun intended.

yes, as a young professional with no kids. I actually enjoy talking with coworkers and asking questions and learning things. Believe it or not it is really a different experience when talking in person. I have been working from home for 2 years I cannot wait to go back to normal.
Remember, there are many people who have already have COVID and have strong antibodies to it.

If I could guarantee everyone around me was vaxxed, happy to go in 3+ days a week if that’s what is asked.
