Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

They do not intend to stop adding work

Little by little, BNY Mellon has now crossed every line. A year and a half ago, they started adding more work to me. When I finally got used to it, they added more and so on.
All the time I thought they had a limit, that they could feel when it was enough and when it was too much. However, no, I was wrong.

At this point I am so overwhelmed with work that I intend to give notice if they give me just one more, even the smallest task.

The line has to be drawn somewhere and they obviously won't do it for me, right?

The bar has been raised. Either be ready to work or go elsewhere.

They’ve been at this for a few decades. Are you new to it?

I used to drink 8 cups of office cheap coffees a day to compensate for my extra work in BNY

I do not intend to care if they keep adding work to me. They've been doing it now for two or three years, having slimmed the members on my team from 10 to 6, and also increasing the complexity and volume of my workload accordingly.

I just do what I can do...they don't like it, they can let me go. He-l, I've been hoping they would but they just won't set me free. Oh well, one can dream....

Expect more work to be added to you after bonuses are paid in March - people will leave in droves.
