There are many who mention possible layoffs at F&O in the near future, but no one has more detailed information about who could be the target, how many people could be affected, etc.? Does anyone have more info?

Q2C folks will never finish automation. There is no need to hurry.
Majority of Q2C folks are hopeless and create even more work for client facing teams. When all the automations are going to be completed?
If the number is 10000 then that equates to approx 1 out of 24 folks is an F&O person. Traditional industry numbers are much closer to 1 in 200. I would expect a pretty large haircut if IBM is going to get serious under AK
F&O has 8-10k folks and needs the biggest cut. Always protected by Jim K. Just been counters counting pennies and adding no value
It is going to be a bloodbath, like in most first quarters in recent history. Past actions are always a good indicator of future actions at IBM. This is what IBM does, constant restructuring to shield the Execs and for them to make believe they are doing their jobs while enriching themselves. Business as usual they say.
Can confirm. Work mate in CIO (US) says new leadership is horrid and they gearing up for 15% cuts with reduction in responsibilities and downsizing teams. The whole lot of them are leaving apparently
Young people are leaving in droves... finally realizing what a terrible mistake they made joining IBM... at least they got smart, and are making the right decision to go work elsewhere where their talent will be recognized and rewarded. That ain't happening at IBM, for sure!
Q1 they are coming. But I know a lot of people are about to leave. So maybe the cuts won’t be that bad. Everyone hates the new leadership in there and had enough. They’re quitting,
Finance and Operations
Finance and Operation? They are golden... protected by the CFO who pretty much the company anyway.
What is F & O?
