Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The CEO is crazy and The BoD made another terrible mistake

Seriously, first he talks about how unreliable and unsafe Taiwan is and the next moment he is singing their praise and flying on private jet to this unreliable and unstable place, WTF.

Does he really think the world is that stupid or he is that important, Pat may think he is clever and end up being the bigger fool

Taiwan is unreliable for long term investment since their neighbor is like the mean girl who gets angry when people talk to her rival; as of now, it’s not the worst place to be. TSMC has come to Intel before, so this is not unheard of.

We’ve lost to TSMC and AMD already, start looking for a new job while you can…

I don't see the problem here. He is saying that we can't be reliant on a single country for advanced manufacturing nodes, so let's start building our own infrastructure. In the meantime, we need these advanced nodes and can only get them from TSMC.

Apple and Qualcomm have no problem sourcing billions of chips out of TSMC.
In what way are they unreliable?

Just as unreliable as putting fabs in Israel? A beacon of geopolitical safety?

PG is entering BK-levels of clownish behavior.

Don't question Amish Intel Jesus. He's gonna make 5nm chips out of fish and loaves of bread.
