Companies that match PTO?

One of the hardest things to walk away from at WFC is the PTO does anyone know of other companies that would match or at least start you with 4 weeks like WFC? If I could find somewhere that would offer comparable PTO and a culture that supports 100% remote, I’d be gone. I’d even be willing to take a slight reduction in pay if it meant matching my current annual PTO allowance and 100% remote.

Depends on your experience and role. If you’re working as a front line employee and the first couple levels of mgmt to have no leverage. If you’re in the VP club you probably do

Over my career I’ve worked for a national bank a few community banks. I have always had 30 days PTO out of the gate. Wells Fargo is the first bank I’ve joined that started me off with less. The last bank I was with had 30 days plus 10 sick days.

Don’t fall for the “unlimited” PTO trick if you see it offered.

Those companies love to spin the line of “we see you have been taking advantage of our unlimited pto benefit…”and will guilt you into using it sparingly

I left WF this year and had no issues negotiating a PTO match. I had been at Wells for 10+ years.

Ultimately I ended up with more time off available because my new employer does vacation and sick time separately. Negotiated 4 weeks of vacation, have 2 weeks sick days available (as a parent, this is huge because kids, especially young, get all the germs and I can use sick time to care for my kids if they are home sick from school/daycare without using vacation time). We also get 2 flex religious holiday days, volunteer day, then an extra employee appreciation day granted mid-year that can carry over.

Don't let PTO tie you to the train tracks...

I left WF earlier this year and PTO was one of the easier parts to negotiate. The new company upped their offer to give me two additional weeks of PTO beyond their standard package to get close to where I was at with WF.

Many companies offer unlimited PTO, but not sure if you could realistically then take 28 days of PTO in your first year.
