Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Forget layoffs, everyone is leaving!

I've never seen so many people leave a company in such a short time. VP's SVP's of departments, all leaving at the same time.

Several were denied going to a closer hub than the one assigned. They lit up chat about time to find another opportunity. I'm holding out for a bonus, but won't be in the office the first week because it will cost me out of pocket for a hotel.

Some team members live hundreds of miles from the assigned office but will have to drive past one within 50 miles to get there. My team is not op-risk. Already had 2 in 5 leave with hundreds of open positions now.

it comes in bunches where I work. With the emails I have seen, I know that I am in the middle of another small group exodus now.

They don't even sit on the same floor, and they are adding more space for non-executive employees as we speak.

I asked someone I know who came over from JPM and she said everything is fine and don't believe the rumor mill. I hope she is right.

Correction - NYC is only a hub because Chuckie is there and it is not a hub for all business groups. Some business groups have been specifically prohibited from hiring in NYC (likely because there would be too many people crowding in to collaborate with Chuckie and he might get COVID).

NYC is one of the nine hubs.

last meeting in Ops risk was awful. Tone deaf on core vs non core locations. Basically the repeated phrase by 2 leaders was “you have to look out for yourself and your own career and make personal decisions”. So no upward mobility at non core locations. Except carve outs for directors or above in NYC a non core location.

We can’t even keep our distribution lists updated in Risk because of all the key contacts leaving. This is how I know how bad it is. They decided to leave even before bonuses were paid.
So much for getting rid of dead weight. This is a major fail for leadership and that is the area a real shakeup is needed.
