Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

I can’t believe it’s come to this again. I will forget stand with Work From Home people!

I’m a tech and I’m ready to strike for our workers at home. I’ve heard horror stories about these places. Dirty offices, dirty old men, and dirty tactics being played out. If they go back to an office we should walk out!!! Rotate it by garage and office! No one should be subject to that!

Just look at the posts on here. There was one talking about how they can’t wait to see these girls in tight clothing. Real or not, we can’t be down with that.

@1iyu+1ekuWYYw I bet you wrote the teletech post to boost your own narrative.

@1ffj+1ekuWYYw Controlling the narrative. Unfortunately for you, the times don’t match up to what you’re saying. Lol, has been said before here many times, there’s like 3, maybe 4 active people on here. I absolutely believe this is one person arguing for the office and a few against. The person for the office keeps guessing at how much a rep is paid, while ignoring the ‘other’ costs. It’s called a bad faith argument and you’re most likely the same person who made it in the first place.

@1jnr+1ekuWYYw- you're spot on... op was losing an argument on another thread, so she made this and a couple of others to bury the losing thread in the active list.

I hear you with the dirty work locations, but that’s all around Verizon. Where I work they’ve stated putting plastic bags over the broken plumbing fixtures, rather than fix them…..we’re running out of toilets. As far as the dirty old man comment, I haven’t seen a lot of women at Verizon worth leering at. Although I’m ready and willing.

@1dvm+1ekuWYYw: HELLO! It's the Pope here... God, can you hear me?
That's HILARIOUS, "TeleTech Manager"! More like "Work From Home Wannabe Wanda"
That post hardly reflects our relationship with TT or ANY of our vendors. The simple fact that you'd post this fabrication proves the following...

  1. you know nothing about how we manage our vendors, OR what they handle for us.
  2. you know nothing about how the vendors themselves operate.
  3. you have a very unsophisticated, outdated understanding of call routing.
  4. you know that your lack of knowledge weakens your stance.

You're best bet is to stick to, "I wanna work from home 'cause I like it!" You are certain of that, everyone will tell you that you're right, and most will sympathize with you.

I’m a manager for TeleTech in the Philippines. Hello colleagues. I can update you kindly on how it is here. About half of our staff was let go last summer due to lack of calls. Most of that were let go were hired under different contracts with other companies. We’ve been told that our contract ends first quarter with Verizon. I love what we do, and Verizon has been amazing, but it’s coming to an end. We’ve been told Verizon wants to go completely in-house for incoming calls due to better efficiency.

Why are Union people still posting on this site? You are Never part of any Layoffs. Find another website to voice your issues.

@ezy+1ekuWYYw Are you implying that he said all men? I read it as ‘dirty men’ which doesn’t include all men. Lol, cable news and politicians sure taught you how to argue. Hahaha!!

Are you suggesting that there is no place in America’s future work spaces for “older men”? Can you clarify what age bracket you are describing and can you explain why older men are “dirty” …do men start out as dirty or do they evolve into dirtiness? Is there a specific generation of men that you feel are “dirty”? I.e men born before 1970…or between 1965 n 1975….pls explain and thank you
