Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Is it just our division?

Or when people leave, are they being replaced? We're not hiring replacements and I and others are swamped now that some have left for other jobs.

Everyone who leaves my department is replaced by someone in the Philippines

“ I’m in audit. We attempt to replace everyone that leaves, and then some. My team has grown over the past year.”

I don’t know why I got so many down votes for this. My audit team started 2021 with about 28 people and we are at 33 now. Several people have quit this year and there is a posting to refill the positions within days. It was tough to fill some of them, but all have been filled.

Of those who have left where I am stationed, I hear crickets, just crickets, for replacements. The manager has taken over the duties, and then spread out the work. Shameful.

People in some groups are leaving faster than replacments can be found. It's really impacting the business I'm in.

They refused to replace anyone leaving in my group for almost a year to save money, and now they’re desperately hiring a bunch because they finally realized how much the bank needed to hire people in my group. Unfortunately they took too long.

If we're still too big why are there 4000+ job postings?

In legal, and we have been replacing once someone has left the company or changed roles; however it takes 6 months to do so.

Working in a branch is he-l. We can't possibly give good customer service with 2 tellers and 1 banker. When people quit, they're not replaced. How can you run a bank like this?
Wells Fargo can afford to hire more people at branch level but won't do it. They're ki----g the few employees they have left. Stressed to the max! SMH!

Some replacements, but process slowed way down to save money.

"Problem is, all of the great talent has left already."

All of the great talent? Maybe some are hoping to be canned or enjoying watching the shitshow or waiting until the revolving door of CEOs spins again.

I’m in WIM Operations. We’ve lost a significant number of people over the last year and none have been replaced. Lots left to join friends over at Principle.

Attrition, hire off-shore, make existing employees frustrated until they quit so Charlie has a lean organization again without having to do mass lay-offs.

Problem is, all of the great talent has left already.

I know an area that they haven’t replaced anyone leaving since May 2020 and that was because they had been planning a mass layoff.

Later they found out they missed those people but the new id--ts running things had no clue until the were gone.

Hiring in my group. No layoffs either.

Yup. Our group is roughly half it's size from around when pandemic started mostly with people leaving. They are about to hire offshore a few new teams that will be almost half our group's current size.
