I just found out that there are people who would rather look for a new job than go back to the office. Extremely childish. It’s okay to look for a new job for some valid reason, but if the main reason is RTO, then it’s pathetic.

I have a designated office space and am so much more productive at home. In the office I have a hard time focusing and tuning out all of the random chatter around me and people who have no volume control who yell on a basic conference call. I don’t have people stopping by my desk interrupting my thought process to talk about d-mb stuff. I spend less money and am more active. I don’t spend hours of my life in a car and have more time in my day to live my life the way I want to. Post on here to get people worked up but at least get a better stick to poke with.
@1svn+1elmCdgt. Attention, hut! Get off your lazy fat a$$ and get back to the office soldier, you peevish man-child.
I'd take a pay cut to WFH, but thankfully didn't need to!
It's amazing how the same person gives away their identity every post when they lose their control and start talking like they're a drill sergeant berating recruits instead of a professional leader in a Fortune 100 company. It's no wonder we wallow in mediocrity with people like that in charge.
No company that forces employees to commute to an office if they don’t have to is green. They need to pick: they’re either green or they aren’t. We aren’t doing brain surgery and there is no reason to put thousands of cars on the road to do the same work we can do remotely.
I was laid off from BAC three years ago. The company I started working for immediately after just went to WFH 100% as an option. They are leaving it up to each back-office employee to decide what they want to do for themselves. We were already two days in the office, three days remote which was already fine with me.
So yes, there are many WFO jobs available. WFH is not dead as some fool (below) would like you to believe
Let’s be real. RTO is not the only reason people are looking to leave. Bank of America has never paid well and with mediocre increases and cutting of bonus, with more of the same come February. Why would people stay? I actually like my role and have a great team, but at some point I need to start looking out for myself. RTO is just another reason to look for better opportunities.
People have been returning to the office for over 3 months and it’s clear from the nearly empty floors that most prefer to WFH.
No one is taking daily attendance in the office so majority of RTO’d are only coming in occasionally.
The OP is a dinosaur. Look on LinkedIn. Plenty of banks hiring remote roles with amazing benefits and competitive if not better salaries. My LOB just posted several B4 roles (due to attrition) which will in turn lift up the B5 and B6 in our area, respectively. It's a worker's market right now. Get used to it. Remote work is the future!
Haha WFH is over.
I'd provide an in kind response, but clearly the OP is just a troll seeking negative attention.
It’s only pathetic that you think an outdated operating model is better than working from home, when, over the last two years and even before that, it’s proved it’s worked. No one wants to drive an hour/hour and a half one way to sit ins cube with no coworkers in your group just because your manager feels better as a boomer micro managing from an office. Boomers need to be aged out already.
That sounds like a you problem. Because you lack focus at home is not everyone's case. And why do you think it is less money? Clearly you haven't to tested the market.
No one said you can’t stay home in the comfort of your home with your family, but don’t expect to continue earning a full time salary with benefits and perhaps a bonus because that ain’t happening. It’s called work. You separate from your home life and put your work cap on and get to work. Too many distractions are at home, too many opportunities to get comfortable and lazy and not be proactive about your work. You think people don’t recognize how much a convenience WFH is? Of course they do, that’s why it will never happen again. Generally speaking, happiness and work are not compatible in the same sentence. Learn this, adapt, make some big bank and enjoy home life after work is done like the rest of us big boys and girls. Time to ween off the blankie you wrap yourselves in at your home. Get your butts back to work or see how quickly you are on the outside looking in.
I think it's pathetic that people would rather go sit in a cubicle surrounded by strangers, than be at home with their families more.
Hey OP… what’s “childish” is spending your time preemptively telling everybody else why they’re personal choices are ill conceived and wrong.
My assumption is you’re either very, very old and enjoy feeding pigeons, or a Type A jerk who comes into the office because they’re alone.
If you can get same pay, no commute and more time with your family.... what is so pathetic about it? Ignorant OP.
You can’t stuff the cat back into the bag my ignorant friend.
People now know the truth - that you can have a better life/work balance and be successful, all while working from home.
Change is tough, but if bofa is willing to lose talent because they won’t get with the times then it’s on them.
For you to say it’s “pathetic” that people want something better for themselves and their lives is sad, and it also smells of troll. The vast, vast majority of workers have expressed that wfh works for them, and they would rather take a pay cut than to go back in 5 days a week.
To everyone looking for other jobs, I salute you!
