To clarify, we don’t get OT in Tech unless you’re an admin in tech. We’re all exempt, as in exempt from overtime. Our 60-80 weeks above 40 hours are on us… not one cent of OT pay.

Seriously? I’d love the 995 Rule in Tech. Sounds like they’re allowing us to go down to 60 hours per week from the 80 that we’re doing. Best news in decades

Wells is going to adopt the China 996 policy?

That'll happen right after the next options award for non-executives.

@dxc+1elyqZ7W, Yeah, and I’m not @wjt. Googling ‘voluntary 995 rule’ brings up THIS THREAD as the top result. After that, nothing at all helpful.

So yeah, the 90% of WF who don’t work in Tech have no idea what you’re talking about. And neither does the google.

Wait until you hear the non-voluntary 007 rule for the non-tech groups in 2022.

midnight to midnight, 7 days a week.

Not in tech but I swear by boss was asking for 996 because I was in trouble for only putting in 10-11 hour days. Some of my peers are ki----g themselves making up for the attrition. "Voluntary" was the exact language used.

This is already the case for on-call engineers, but it's 7 days a week. Other than that, we implement changes after the COW, which can take all night. I don't see why we'd be asked to work more hours outside of being on-call and implementing changes after the COW.

I start at 6, because the business lines I support start at 6. Starting 3 hours later would be a nightmare.

This would be a break from my current tech schedule. This place is nuts with what they expect for what they pay. Time to go elsewhere.

Which Tech group? Thats a pretty big group and I can think of many groups that are locked out of OT. Once they hit 40, then are done for the week.

With as much attrition in tech, both stupidly forced and voluntary, I’m sure it will be for those left holding an empty bucket…empty of knowledge rather but full of something else.

Voluntary rules are the best kind of rules.
