Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Where is HW going?

What is the leadership's plan to achieve that goal? I think more and more that this company is losing its direction and I don't want to stay in such a company.

DA and his staff have been very clear - the future is Hon is a software and technology company. We at the plants are to "ship as much as we possibly can" to deliver the cash to corporate they can invest in the future, which is software, AI and autonomous something or other. It appears that's what is happening. Cut expenses on anything other that these 3 areas. Honeywell is being transformed. Perhaps your division will be sold off and maybe the company that buys will have a much better management style and will actually be interested in the products you are working. Could work out for the better. We'll see.

Honeywell lost its direction as early as Dave Cote being CEO. From what I hear, it started when Allied Signal had destroyed its own brand and had to look for some place to hide. That some place to hide was Honeywell.

Your a bit slow .. too bad you missed the peak.
Q3 Next year will be much worse as the debt comes due from the handouts. Honeywell knows their is no viable story for growth with china closing its markets. The money is gone and you will see huge shifts as us companies rebalance to a smaller economy.
