Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Red flags

I am very worried that our store will close soon. The atmosphere is very tense and you feel that something strange is happening in the background.

However, is it enough to rely only on your intuition? Were there any red flags before they informed you that your store would be closed?

It worries me that a friend who works in another store told me that his store seemed to work great. Then it was closed.

wow, the days of when CVS put a store on every corner to compete with Walgreens and other pharmacy chains is now coming to an end. The ruthless tyrant is falling. I remember working at a local town pharmacy that CVS wanted to buy, they basically told them to sell them the store or they would put one up next door and drive us out of business. The owner finally gave in.

The lease expiration date is in the top right corner of the P&L. At least it used to be. Like the comment I left on the other thread, I too ran from this company years ago. I am affiliated with many still employed...Good luck.

How do you find your lease date without asking the DL or corporate?

If your in a store that the Rx is 10-6 on sat and Sunday and even your fs closes at 6 on Saturday - and your Rx runs with 1 tech and your fs does less than 20k -and has less than 150 fs hours - I’d be nervous

The answers are in your P&L. Look at Contra A. If you are beating budget your store is safe. If you are not look at your lease expiration date. That’s your d-day.
