Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Stuck

Everyone on here sounds stuck. When I lost my job there I made a ton on severance. Found a better job and left all that drama behind. I check back here obviously because I knew a lot of great people there. Sounds terrible now, best of luck

I'm not stuck. Why, you might ask? I pinged my network at the end of September, when news of the RELO OR GTFO hit. The interviews went well, and I started a new job at the end of Nov.

And, hold up, did I forget to leave Fiserv? Understanding nothing happens during the Dec freezes and I could just have two laptops running on my desk with freedom mouse movers busily rotating to and fro while I walk the dog, run to starbucks, and rake the leaves? Why yes, yes I did.

A month later, I have nothing to show for my decision but a stack of $6k in cash.

That's NET, not GROSS.

Toodles.

Almost everyone who can leave Fiserv has already done so. There is no one left with both (1) an unrestricted work authorization and (2) transferable skills.

Same for myself. Was a nice second job. When the end came I had no regrets. I stacked my accounts with cash during my employment and sold off my stock at the end. I hope my coworkers are still good. I remember them fondly. Sounds like the place has undergone a transition in the last year or so. I have moved working remotely and close to my aging parents on my own terms. I wish my former colleagues and friends the same. Happy holidays all.

I'm stuck in the restroom so that I can browse the web and post here on Frank's time.
