For those leaving or already gone to another bank or financial co. (not BOA) - are things better there ? I have spent my entire career at WF, have not heard anything good about BOA. Just wondering if I would leave WFC just to be miserable starting over somewhere else.

Wells Fargo is a terrible company in every way imaginable and is only getting worse. That is what employees have to realize - the trend here is not in your favor. Management is colder, greedier, less communicative, and working against their employees more every year. Most employers consider their employees to be assets. Not Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo is the only company I know who treats their employees (and their customers ) like the enemy.
Would also highly recommend a brokerage not owned by a big bank. Friends who left WFC for Edward Jones, Raymond James, Stifel etc are all much happier.
Bank execs are a bunch of uptight boring stiffs who are all about numbers and spreadsheets. Brokerages are more fun, more creative, more team- oriented, promote more from within, more social, better work culture, better chance to make a lot of money.

Moved to a super regional bank this year - no comparison! I've spent time at BoA and WF (and previously Wachovia). I'd never go back to a Big Bank. The culture at the Bigs is beyond toxic, no one actually cares. Where I am now, employees are valued and it shows.
Other than Wells trying to let people go, I don't think BOA is going to be a whole lot better.
I left WF for a regional bank. Difference is night and day; I have confidence in my current employers plan. Leadership skillfully navigated the pandemic and has grown their customer base. Moving toward remote work, not away from it. Basically everything WF is not.
People seem to raise their eyebrows when I tell them I work for Wells, like I made a bad decision. There's still that trust issue on the brand, it's tainted. The culture at other majors are somewhat the same as Wells, but the reputation also matters.
Went from a regional bank to Wells. After five years left wells back to another regional bank. I like it way better.
It’s all the same , most that leave wf want to come back.
Same Shiz Different Bank, if you are talking nationals
Credit Unions are also an option.
National banks are all same. If you want to stay in banking try community or regional. Do your homework. Those size banks have different challenges
