Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Every week I’m hearing more associates announce they are leaving for better paying jobs, with WFH, or hybrid options.

Bank of America is going to come out of this being one of the most undesirable companies to work for if they aren’t careful! Watching CEO’s, and executives from other companies (especially in the banking industry) begin to push back RTO, offer more flexible schedules, and openly admit they were wrong about their steadfast RTO approach…while B of A continues to accelerate their strict RTO process, in order to promote attrition is disgusting.

Don't worry folks, inflation will be taken care of:

In any case, what we though this summer was just a joke appears to be coming true, because as the BLS has reported, starting next month it will adjust the weights for its Consumer Price Index basket, which will be calculated "based on consumer expenditure data from 2019-2020." Alas, there is no further detail on this critical topic, although we will take any bet that post-revision reported inflation will drop because, well, "adjustments."

Starting in January 2022, weights for the Consumer Price Index will be calculated based on consumer expenditure data from 2019-2020. The BLS considered interventions, but decided to maintain normal procedures.

Inflation is clearly high. I was about to argue that the 6% was only on our groceries etc (not our larger bills like our mortgage or car payment). Those are fixed usually. But the insurance? That’s not fixed. And the cost to have someone come to your home to fix something. That’s not a fixed cost either. Car repairs also not fixed. So maybe inflation has more impact that I thought

Over 12 years with BofA and made $107k total compensation in a B5 role fully stuck and getting shuffled around with no appreciation for all the stretch assignments.

Left in October for a new job making $196k total compensation. New company is light years ahead in so many ways. Wish I had made the jump sooner.

Have you been the the grocery store or gas station lately? The trillions in gov't spending and stimulus checks, along with 0% rates have caused inflation like we haven't seen in 40 years. People need to change jobs just to keep pace with the insane rise in living costs.
