Not that this is new, but does anyone remember when Honeywell at least gave its employees a free Xmas lunch? And before that a free turkey? Now, not even a Xmas card. You know how they really feel about employees when they can't spare a $10 lunch for everyone.

A month after joining the new company, after being COVID-RIF'd, everyone was given $1k, 'just because.' That's the way old school management treated employees. Sadly, Moneyhell managers have it beaten into them that they should never even praise a subordinate in front of others for fear it might show favoritism. Besides, giving away a $25 Turkey might offend a vegan or two.
Lucky you still have a job. Asking for a free lunch? Those days or dignity is goner.
The last Christmas before HON bought our company, we had a company provided dinner party where I won a door prize of a round-trip airline ticket to any domestic destination.
Along came HON, never saw that again.
You aren't people. You are FTE's or a portion of the 'headcount'. Easier for them to let you go when they deny your humanity. The only thing that surprises me are the people willing to become managers at this soul destroying company. Talk about selling out and going to the dark side.
Here is a lump of coal. Now get back to work.
Once they cut out the free turkey, I knew it was downhill from there.
No jelly of the month club?
Probably been about 25 years ago (say late 90s) that Allied Signal yes pre HON days would provide a free lunch via food trucks (AKA ro--h coach) up to i think ~ $10 for ANYONE working anytime during the Christmas shut down from 12/26 thru 12/31-time frame. Additionally, OT pay which amounted to double time and 1/2 for all hourly folks and Bravo awards for salary people that volunteered to work or even volunteered to be on call. Yes, that was just one of the ways the company made sure employees were shown outstanding appreciation.
If 50 people get a $10 gift card, then DA has one less bottle of wine!
Hey Cedar Creek got an eight piece chocolate sampler. Must have cost $5 at Costco!
I got a $15 gift card from HW. Wow so very generous.
I got a 150.00 gift card from my new company, and haven’t never been on board for 60 days yet. Life exists outside honeyh7ll.
Well, after a long career, my last Christmas with Honeywell was last year. I never thought that at this stage in my life I would be preparing for the Christmas season while working for a competitor buy here I am and so delighted by the new culture I have found and how much this organization really cares for its associates - and yes everyone did receive a very nice care package at home. My family was so impressed because it had been at least 25 years since they had seen anything…
Sorry it's winter holiday cant say other words 😂
But I know what your saying
