Come on! I wasn’t that bad a leader at Tech Control, was I?!?! Everyone says after my sessions that it’s all Greek to them…..
Worked with a coworker who would spend all night partying, then come in to work and put her feet on her desk and sleep, snore, and drool all over. Reported to manager but manager told us she didn't want to go through the hassle of firing her - so we had to deal with it for two years. She did absolutely zero work and even got a 1% raise every year for doing nothing. Lots of nepotism in that department, but because the family members and relatives all had different last names, it went under the radar. Promotions were a farce, they would give each other big raises every year, and then turn around and tell the rest of us that they didn't have enough to spread around so they were going to pick a few people and surprise surprise...it was always the relatives. LOB manager was never around and didn't care as long as she wasn't getting exec eyes on her, so complaints to her went unanswered. It was awful.
Lied to when I interviewed. Had to work with a psy·cho·path contractor, that did not wortk. Got reorged to group that had a really bad reputation and are reffered to as a "JOKE". Got a new leader who was clueless and lazy.
I have so much I could write a tell all book with names and horrible examples of what’s gone over the last few years. independent risk is a complete joke but better than front line. Audit is just trying to save their own as--s. You’d think our regulators would be doing more about all of this after this long in the spotlight.

Try being a peon in risk that worked on that same effort for over a year and got nada. Lots of “great jobs” but nothing else. Oh wait, we got a free week of pto at year end- that surely made up for the 80hr work weeks, weekends and missing events with family! What’s worse is that work I contributed was meaningful and I was a senior level individual contributor with 20 years experience, they just don’t give a sh-t. They’ll work you till you die and not even send flowers.
Had a internal job offer; current group wanted me to stay and they promised to match the job and salary. I stayed because I was a su---r and thought it was a good team. Took them more than 6 months to fulfill their promise to me and they then promoted about 20 others at the same time. Found out much later I was also the lowest paid but highest performing on the team. I left not long after.
Constant expected overtime that never ends. One year I did 12 hour days at least 5 days a week, and quite often weekends as well. I HATED it, but it was expected of me.
I'm not on that team anymore, but my manager now, just like my manager then, has zero respect for personal time. If there is a problem, I am expected to stay late no matter what.
sbc+1eqi0cs3......does that matter? Would it be okay to shout that out if she was, did, or still do? You must be one of them. So embarrassing to other women that so many of you act like this.
Being harassed repeatedly even in front of others no one did anything and when I went to HR they stuck up for the manager

I was hired in Risk $ Controls. Very excited. Started on a Monday. Next day, my reporting manager changed. I would’ve never taken the job had I known I was going to be reporting to this person
I have been amazed how long a co-worker can remain on the job, and on my team. I am talking about the type that talks and talks all day with everybody but does very little work. Actually, does just barely enough to have done the job. Others have to cover for their mess.
I had to deal with a militant black woman who hated white men. She is no longer a director.

I'd worked an all-nighter, and the next morning (after being up all previous day and all previous night) I dozed off. My manager saw that and docked me a day of PTO for it.
In the years since, it has cost them a lot more than 1 day's pay. My work ethic became "do just enough to get by", and I don't "go the extra mile" anymore.
Turnover on that team was extreme. They'd hire people who would leave within weeks of starting. 80 hour weeks were the norm.
I work. I leave. And I don't think about this place anymore when I'm not here. It used to be a passion, but now it's just a paycheck.
Worked on large regulatory effort as a grunt. 12 - 16 hour days, 6 days a week for months on end. Me, and others at my level doing the actual work get no special anything other than atta-boys/girls when things go well only to find out the loser layer of management we succeeded in spite of all got FAT retention bonuses to stay until submission. How did we find out? A bunch of them crowed about it when they went out the door that the "check had cleared" and they could move on.
Unreal.
@ngw+1eqi0cs3 I'm close to 25 years. I feel the same way. I used to be proud of who I worked for. Now I spend as much time as possible applying externally. Anything WF I'm numb to it.
I was se-----y as----ted as a volunteer at a Wells Fargo charity event.
I was given a guilt trip by my Manager for not naming my baby quick enough so she could send out an announcement email. Not the worst thing, but definitely rude and weird.

Was told by hiring manager three months into the job that I was really only hired because I was a pretty young woman who could talk people into going along with changing policies more easily, show vendors that WF was hip and attract recruits at college events. then I was se-----y as----ted by a contractor on visa (I won't say which country, but you can guess). He clearly had never been given any se-ual harassment training (he got fired), then se-----y harrassed by a new hire college grad (he was put on two month leave to find another job and fired if not employed by end of leave), notice that WF did the right thing both times by supporting me and canning the creeps.
Up next I got work injury due to 16 -18 hour days six days a week for a couple years, then annual stock award promised was yanked after moving across country for job (no recourse possible "executive discretion' and removed across the board from everyone. It was a LOB specific program not corp-wide), then promised promotion that never materialized due to constant reorgs after accomplishing the impossible with high success.
And I am sure you already read my post about how our pension was frozen, which is one key reason I am still here! Yes, the job is that good to put up with this B.S.. The majority of coworkers have highest integrity and strong work ethic. My average pay increase until four years ago was 10% base for over 20 years with bonus close to or at 125-150%. All in - I am still glad I work for WF. Despite the bad experiences and a bad few managers, I have delivered a significant amount of great work in partnerhip with my team and peers.
I got my job changed to something completely different than what I was hired for on my second day.
Been here for 30 years. Nothing surprises me any more. Saw it all. I'm numb.
I see a lot of snarky replies but in all seriousness, I asked for a promotion as my peers who were doing the functions were a level higher. My manager said “Don’t you think you are doing well for your age?”
I opened some fake accounts for customers and everyone made a big deal of it.
Was told I had to pick up slack for coworker because she had kids and I didn’t. I refused.
Manager: Don’t you think you’re being selfish?
Me: I’m not the one asking for special treatment.
Review: Not a team player.
Me: Got a new job and quit.
I got offered a job and accepted it
