Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Opened on Christmas

I am so tired of giving up time with my family to work for a company that sees me as a number. DLs and up will be enjoying Christmas while I am missing irreplaceable moments with my kids. It’s one day. Why can’t they close just for Christmas? Walmart, Publix, and even Walgreens are closing stores. The corporate greed is driving me away. I’ll probably work Christmas and they will close my store in a couple of months. Saddening.

I had two coworkers who volunteered for the whole day every year. The cashier was Jewish, and the shift had jo--t custody of her kids (Thanksgiving was her court-ordered holiday). Better to get double time than sit home alone.

Please don't tell people to leave. Especially those who post that they hate the company and all of its management and secretly also hate their fellow workers. Please don't tell these people to leave. When I say that to all of you, it is because I think they are exactly the people we need to stay here.

Yeah, right.

I have a friend that works at Publix they get their choice of 2 weeks pto or 2 weeks pay as Xmas bonus and they have great benefits go work there. Don’t ever expect cvs to care or change.

For those of you telling more employees to leave your a ignorant of our staffing problems already or your hat stupid. We are bleeding employees and can’t attract new talent and your solution is to tell people to leave! I’m over here knowing you have to be some out of touch DL, RD, or some one above that because everyone else knows we are in no condition to tell anyone on our teams to leave. We have 1 manager running 2 stores all over our districts.

I don't get why people complain about working on Christmas when they know they work for a company that is open on Christmas. It's not a surprise. Find another job that doesn't work on Christmas. The problem is you...not CVS.

When the survey comes out that we have to do yearly put close all stores for Christmas, if everyone says that maybe they will close for Christmas cause it is ridiculous we are open .

I think we are providing a valuable service to the community and the company. We grow healthy profits while helping consumers get the products they need. Everybody wins.

Look at it this way , you r doing your part to keep our company strong and coupon queens happy . I admire people that endure the hardships so others can enjoy our family holidays ! Your probably not religious anyway so keep the stores open .Do t ever think we do not appreciate you
