So many people seem stuck on looking for a new job at another bank. The majority of jobs can be done at other companies in other industries, you don't have to limit yourselves. Let's say you’re in finance. Apply for openings in the finance department of whatever company is looking for people. It can be Apple or Ford or Dell or whatever else comes to mind. You don't have to change what you're doing while changing industries. You'll still be doing what you know and probably be paid more to do it.

Unless you are in technology??? Technology has to be the easiest job to get in other industries. There is very little of that skillset that is different in other industries. In fact, when finance companies were struggling after 2008 my boss was using that as an excuse for small raises. I told him it didn't matter to me, you have to compete with other companies that want me.
Very true for banking unless you are in technology. However, opportunities in the U.S. are limitless. The payroll inflation caused by the government paying people not to work is astounding… businesses have to compete with government paid vacation.
Best time to look for a job in 40 years. Nothing will change until you do.

Yes, there is a world of opportunity awaiting. In China and India. Here in the US, not so much.
So true. There is limited future in banking. Banks will not make money like in the past, everything will be automated, expenses will always need to be contained and jobs will be less and less. Time to move on to big and better things. There is a world of opportunity awaiting.
