Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Working during the holidays

I have a few friends who work in production facilities and who are not able to celebrate holidays because they have to work. I don't think it's a smart decision by Fiserv because they are all serious about leaving this company and I don't think it will be easy to find a replacement for them. Terrible decisions are made for both employees and the company! Couldn't Fiserv have allowed these employees to celebrate the holidays just like those who work in offices?

SHAME ON YOU, FISERV!

“ This is the nature of the business, we serve clients 7x24 and on top of that it is not a holiday for FRB. Same as police, firefighter, ER, etc.... Not sure what is your problem.”

You are quite obtuse, and I am being polite.. What we do is pretty much non essential. So a debit card is late half a day. Its not like someone needs medical attention.

Do you understand the industry we are all in? You will be the first whining when your card is declined.

“ Part of the job and probably something they knew about when taking the job.”

I find it funny how these corporate keyboard warriors type about stuff they know nothing about. The policy was changed last minute to cancel closing the facility for holidays.

Next tome, please understand what it is you are talking about before typing your nonsense.

Wrong. Fiserv closed for the holidays. Until First data took over and mandated no more holidays for production employees. It is you uncaring, unsympathetic, family unfriendly firstdata buffoons that changed the holiday policy. Maybe YOU should get your lazy a$$ back into the office since you think it’s “the nature if the job”.

Frank and Guy are a dangerously abusive pair. They will use you until you are mentally defunct, and then find a way to force you out of the company.

I may not be with the company next year, for a variety of reasons I am not happy about, but in THIS instance, I can't blame Fiserv. Other companies that do the kind you of work we do with FED are also staffed on those days.

Banking has many federal regulations. Us production folk have to follow the FED's holiday calendar.
Dec 24th and Dec 31st 2021 are Fiserv holidays on the calendar but the FED is open. Someone has to process the banking transactions and get that info to FED, just like every other processing day, so 'tag' we are it.

(Depending on the bosses) we are not at full staff, and some do get to take the days off, while others will choose future days off.
