Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

I thought this was a layoff site

I thought this was a layoff site.

Why do disgruntled employees use it to spew anti-company rhetoric and company supporters post taunts about their exciting future (usually in NJ)?

How does any of that help people who want to know layoff rumors or actual layoff information?

It's sickening to estimate the amount of money Frank and Guy are burning on fake cheerleader posts. They've no doubt formed a committee for this sort of thing while totally overlooking actual material, pressing issues. Just think of the nerve and ego one must possess to come here and bash Yabuki, while single-handedly destroying the company with bad policy. Shame on you Frank!

The original poster made me think: candidates are using this site as part of their research tools, no surprise there, as they evaluate Fiserv. The facepalm moment is that I'm thinking there has been more than one person who has declined an offer and they mentioned something about negative comments from sites like this. With that in mind, and the competitive job market, it is no wonder there has been a definite uptick in the "frank is a great leader", "best Fintech". "I love NJ" etc. from the corporate trolls. So, to Fiserv leadership: how about you trust your employees to work from home? How about you inform employees about a change in the vacation instead of it being done sneakily so that employees cannot take all of the vacation they have earned. How about you recognize that you are not staffed properly and that most people do not have work-life balance? I was Fiserv proud until Fiserv became First Data. Likke others, I am looking for the exit door.

To the OP. We were original Fiserv and pretty happy here. Oh sure, nothing is ever perfect. But the leadership cared about it’s employees. They cared about building relationships with people and treated employees with respect and dignity. We seemed to be moving ahead with fresh new ideas.

Enter First Data. Everything changed. Not that we are afraid of change. Change for the betterment is good. No, the First Data driven change does nothing to help our clients nor employees. Quite the contrary, more micromanaging. They set up policies to the detriment of employees. Many of whom left. And with these policies they can’t find replacements. Clients are unhappy. Infrastructure creates a atmosphere of working harder not smarter. The Left hand does not know the Right hand exists. Employees treated indignantly have low morale. Leadership is using tired played old school philosophies that no longer work in this new era.

So, yes, we may be bitter by going backwards with outdated ideology.

To the poster "2xgo".

Thank you for comments. Comments like yours are what one expects to find and are the helpful types of comments, not just name calling and silliness. I appreciate that you posted your thoughts.

I have already decided to stay far away from this company.

To the OP, there are so many disgruntled employees because the CEO had sucky morale at FD and he brought this to Fiserv. There are so many negative changes that he has made to the company and people need to vent. It is also a benefit to you, because you can get a sense of how unhappy employees are at Fiserv. In my division, we have lost about 10 percent of our sales team, with more expected. Frank is one of those leaders that just says "do x" without any thought on how his leaders will execute the change. The result is that leaders have said tht they are doing two jobs during the transition. Most of us don't give two shakes because they are expecting their team members to do the same thing all while not knowing what they will fit. Heck, there are 20+ veterans at the director level that need to reinterview for their job. The negative things you read about our leadership team on this site is true. The glowing comments about the best FinTech and excitement for NJ are from company hacks to offset the negative comments. Most of us would not reccomend this company to new joiners.

Fiserv has performed layoffs so frequently that the rumor site has formed a community.

This is much more than an layoff site.
This is a site where employees gather to exchnage info and blow off some steam. Anonimously.

To BCA, I am the OP and I have never been affiliated with either Fiserv or First Data. I was offered a job there, among other jobs, and so yes, I was checking all the online gossip and reviews. Reading on different sites, it sounds like a big old fashioned company trying to make big changes but the immature vitriol and sticks and stones name calling on this site doesn’t seem too helpful.

Frank and his minions inflate both Glassdoor and this forum with a bunch of nonsense to try to repair their broken image. It is pretty obvious by now that they are having a very difficult time finding new talent -- locking down all new hiring to the NJ location isn't helping things either. Nice one, Frank. Clap clap
