Awesome, after 25+ years of hitting the maximum amount for Social Security withholding, this year it's a miss. And, it will be a miss next year, since XOM raises are not keeping up with the increases, which are based on average compensation increases across the country.

FICA should tax entire incomes of any individual.
The cut-off at a certain level should not exist.
It's an oligarch conjob and always has been.
DW on Social Security and Medicare. Har de har.
@kdx+1etck5ZV Yes the US pays better than the rest of the world. But expenses are higher here too. Really why we complain is because you can make so much more at other companies in the US. For engineers who are around 70-90th percentile, we are paid like 50-70th percentile. And this used to not be the case. Honestly more companies should be going global to reduce expenses. You’re right that at any company a US person isn’t miles (or I guess kilometers) ahead of the rest of the world. But when you look at where the top companies of recent have come from, it’s still the US. Wherever innovation is occurring is where the money will be. And right now, innovation broadly speaking is in the US. And also some China, but for political/security reasons they are having trouble expanding globally sometimes.
@kdx+1etck5ZV It is an American company. What do you expect?
The only person with Above Average performance is Darren Woods. Everyone else is NSI.
US employees are over compensated vs the rest of the world. Why are you guys always think about money? US employees are not the most productive. Based on my interactions, a lot of you like to blah blah blah.
Are you are keeping up with average performance across the country?
