Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

There's no escaping layoffs

What you can do is make sure you are financially stable and re-employable if/when you're among those who are affected. That can make a huge difference not just in how you'll recover from a layoff, but also in the quality of your everyday life while still at Fiserv. When you're prepared for the worst, you don't have to stress over it 24/7, and that is good for your overall health.

Agree totally and in all jobs you should act in this manner, very good advice for a layoff site which this kinda, sorta was for a while. Keep your resume updated and also watch those on-line ones you posted oh 4 years ago that still have you living in another address and contact info. Knowing you have a cushion and can survive without salary for a few months makes calm evaluation of current position and future much more rational. Fiserv is a company prone to good and bad aspects - more bad these days. I am long gone just before First Data really took hold and very content. My memories of Fiserv are therefore mostly pleasant and positive. Live your life as best you can
