When I hired on __ years ago I was promised a pension, 401k and health care.
They are taking that away to make up for upper managements mistakes.
That is like stealing from me.
I am too old to get another job because of age discrimination.

I personally don’t work outside, I have a degree and do plenty of work using brains instead of Braun. That however shouldn’t diminish the work that people do, especially working in the elements. Maybe you are just unhappy with your job or you feel that in your capacity giving handies and taking a pearl necklace on occasion makes you special. It doesn’t, you are not special. You just have a low opinion of yourself and what your work does to impact the company. The rest of us employees whether in the field, or in specialized jobs know how important our job is. Keeping the plant in service, keeping the backbones running, engineering buildouts and keeping the power stable in the buildings. It’s mens work, it can be rough work and it can be dangerous. You my little self righteous princess aren’t man enough to talk your bs to any of those workers. You would never be able to do any real technical work, any physical work or any work of consequence. You are just your mom’s sad little cr---h goblin that needs to pop that teet out of his mouth and grow up

Sounds like you are a management lackey to me. Maybe you enjoy getting shafted dry. But for many people in management and craft, we y try ok lower compensation up front because of what we were going to get on the back end, Namely benefits like life insurance and concessions. It’s not always so easy to just leave and start over when your 3/4 or more to retirement, and your body has broken down from years of doing actual work. Not to say your job of being an executive’s geisha girl or cabana boy isn’t work. But I doubt your physical job duties of tossing salad or fetching drinks compare with climbing ladders, gaffing, lifting equipment and subjecting your body yo the elements. Some management jobs and most craft jobs are dangerous in their own way. Again, maybe you have a latex allergy but it’s not the same. The only person that seems to be whining and throwing a tantrum is you. Maybe you have a low opinion of yourself and the job you do. The people that work for a living, know what they were told about their retirement benefits and know how much their years of hard work was worth and how it benefited the customers and company.?
