I got an email this morning about an impromptu town hall meeting that is scheduled on Tuesday, Jan 4th to address the rumors about layoffs. My email said to attend in person in conference room A (and to bring all my personal belongings) but in trading info with one of my coworkers, theirs said to go to conference room B 30 minutes after mine started and to just bring yourself. What could this mean? Does this mean I’m getting laid off? I’m fearing the worst. I’ll continue to wear a mask to dampen my fears.

Howdy all. I asked HR to only send the reference to bring personal effects to those who will be part of our 2022 layoff campaign. Going to be a good week next week. Enjoy the last few days of 2021 and employment.

What’s going on in Conference Room C & D? Co-----l party?
I’m not too worried. I purposefully don’t take vacation during the days between Christmas and New Years. I love having uninterrupted access to all of the restrooms and I like to take several dumps per day. Usually nobody else even coming in there. So nice!
"Bring personal belongings" is all you need to read to figure this out. Best of luck to you!
Yes. Layoffs January 4 seem imminent. I got the same email to be in Conference room A. The rest of my team goes to B.
