Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Everyone is disgruntled but everyone is still there

I know people who were laid off just before retirement who have not yet managed to find a new job. Of course they now regret being loyal to Fiserv. I wouldn't like to hear such ugly stories again. One should make every effort and get out of here because Fiserv has no mercy for anyone. But people know this well and they are still there. I wonder if the issue is that people can't find a new job or if they are just unsure about leaving all this and starting from the scratch somewhere else?

My job is being relocated to NJ. If I just walk away now after 30+ years, I leave 26 weeks of pay on the table. I'm not in the higher position bracket where a possible new employer would give me a signing bonus that would make up for that.

Fortunately, I like my boss and immediate group.
I'm staying until they push me out the door -
so either I keep getting a regular paycheck, or I leave with a package.

It takes time to find a new job, including mentally.

A lot of us keep hoping that by some miracle things will get better.

People have life issues that they need to deal with before they look for a new job.

And, I am sure there are more reasons. None of these take away from the fact that to the little guy, Frank sucks as our leader.

Must be boomers loving this old outdated archaic leadership.

I'm disgruntled but choose to stay here because I helped build this company over many years and it sickens me to see an agenda-crazed loon come in and destroy it in record time. I bet Frank ba--s up his fists and hits his desk knowing he will never be able to track me down. Poor Frankie.

Not sure why you say "everyone" and "everyone".

A handful of folks are still here on this site, but that isn't "everyone!"

Imagine being on a team where most of your team mates were let go. You bet your sweet patootie we are disgruntled! And the lack of directions and leadership does nothing more than knock down morale even further. Add to it that we also know we aren’t safe from being next in line to be cut. Many of us have family to take care of, or like me, a single mom with 2 kids, so quitting isn’t an option. Oh, and we are not 44,000 strong anymore since close to 20% of the American employees were let go or quit. While our overseas counterparts are all safe while working remote. Disgruntled? You bet I am. No apologies from me for feeling this way.

Why are so many things on the internet 100% these days?
"Everyone is disgruntled"... everyone?
"everyone is still there" EVERYONE?

And then on the other side "the other 43,900 who love the new FIserv" did you really ask all forty three thousand nine hundred employees and ALL of them said they "love the new fiserv"... cause if that's true, first i didn't get the memo, and second that's a cult!

Can't we meet in the middle and agree that some people, in fact most people just don't give a flying fuck. The company isn't going to layoff 100% of the workforce, the company isn't going to relocate 100% of 44k employees to 2k seats in NJ. Many people will be fine and will go about their jobs not caring what Frank does.

I read this site cause I find it funny. It's anonymous so for all you know one person is posting everything. Could be both sides just to troll everyone.

Anyway, I don't love this company and I don't hate it. I just get paid to do my job and read this board with people that won't stop saying the same thing over and over.

Hilarious how these posts are an echo chamber for a few hundred ofs, wfh folks who act as if they speak for the other 43,900 who love the new FIserv and don’t have your issues. Lol

This is an observation about companies/employees in general.

Most employees will put up with a boatload of abuse before they leave a company. We don't like a lot of change. We may like our co-workers. We like the routine, with some new challenges thrown in from time to time. Yeah, there are some type-A people who will jump at any new opportunity, but most folks just want to do their work and, in exchange, not be smacked around too much.

Pretty much all executives have to do is not make the work experience miserable for the grunts. That's it. That's the secret. Some companies can't even manage to do that.

All employers need to do is not make i

I'm at that age where it's harder to find a job. However, my New Year's resolution is to find a new job.

Not everyone. Most of us are gone. Only the gutless are still there.
