Just FYI, the banks policy to not discuss wages isn’t legal. We are allowed to discuss salary, this is protected on the federal level:

Under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA or the Act), employees have the right to communicate with other employees at their workplace about their wages.

You may have discussions about wages when not at work, when you are on break, and even during work if employees are permitted to have other non-
Protected conversations about wages may take on many forms, including having conversations about how much you and your colleagues and managers make, presenting jo--t requests concerning pay to your employer; organizing a union to raise your wages; approaching an outside union for help in bargaining with your employer over pay; and approaching the National Labor Relations Board for more information on your rights under the NLRA.

In addition, you have the right to discuss and engage in outside activity with other employees concerning public issues that clearly may affect your wages – for example, minimum wage or right-to-work laws. You may also discuss supporting employees who work elsewhere.

You also have the right not to engage in conversations or communications about your wages.

When you and another employee have a conversation or communication about your pay, it is unlawful for your employer to punish or retaliate against you in any way for having that conversation. It is also unlawful for your employer to interrogate you about the conversation, threaten you for having it, or put you under surveillance for such conversations. Additionally, it is unlawful for the employer to have a work rule, policy, or hiring agreement that prohibits employees from discussing their wages with each other or that requires you to get the employer’s permission to have such discussions. If your employer does any of these things, a charge may be filed against the employer with the NLRB

You shouldn’t be upset at the bare minimum employees making as much as you do, that is a ploy by corporations. They try to make it seem like it is the fault of the lowly workers when the truth is they should be paying you way more to compensate for your time and service and the reason they don’t is to make more profits. The new worker should make what you make, and you should be making double what you make.

I read something that other day that was truly mind blowing, bezos could spend $100k a day, everyday starting at 0 AD up until the year 2021 and still have over half his wealth. That’s only if compound interest wasn’t applied, if it was he would be richer than ever.

Just remember, the greatest trick the rich ever pulled was convincing the world that the poor are to blame.

If D&I was impactful salary details would be shared. The company hires a third party agency who claims salaries are equal between diversity groups. If this was factual it would be transparent. As a shareholder you can vote yes on salary transparency in April (although the board encourages a rejection.)

B6 officer 25 years non client facing $57,200. No raise in two years because I am above midpoint supposed. I thought they didn’t use that anymore??? One team lead told me two years ago it was due to them raising the minimum pay the first time the raises went to them. I have always been a top performer to get where I am at. It disgusts me that the bare minimum associates are going to make pretty much what I do for just showing up

Hi Band 6, you should be getting at least $21 per hour or 43,680 per year according to BOA's minimum wage. If I were you I would supply this to your manager or contact HR to get the money you are supposed to be getting.

October 6, 2021 at 9:00 AM Eastern
Today, Bank of America announced it has raised its U.S. minimum hourly wage to $21 as a next step in the company’s plans to increase to $25 by 2025.
