Crazy high returns this year, Honeywell 401K

I just checked my Honeywell fidelty 401k account.... 29% ytd return for 2021!

This is crazy and just shows hidden inflation. I guess if you have significant HW stock then the picture is very different.

What my finance guy says to do once over a certain amount in HON take half of it and transfere it to did funds stocks. This way you don't lose out on money from it. I done it few times and my returns are decent.

I've been watching this all year. HON is so underperforming its dragging my overall return down significantly. Can't wait until I vest so I can immediately dump that garbage stock.

That's what happens when you're in 100% S&P500 index fund.

For those that don't know the difference between S&P and Dow Jones:
The Dow Jones Industrial tracks the stock prices of 30 of the biggest American companies.
The S&P 500 tracks 500 large-cap American stocks.
Both indexes offer a big-picture view of the state of the stock markets in general.

Yea, 2021 YTD: S&P 500 up 27.5%, Dow up 19.1%, HON down 2.5%. The HON stock performance is very telling on what investors consider the value is of investing in Honeywell.

Isn't the dow, which is the average of select companies, up around that same percentage YTD? In other words, that stock is matching the average YTD increase? That's like exclaiming your house went up in value. Do did everyone else's.

Why do you think these folks who just do enough stick around? Ride the stock wave until somebody figures out they’re useless.
