Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

People sent home to WFH till At least Jan 10th

People on my team in CLT were just told to pack up their stuff and lunch and go home to work till at least January 10th. I’m still WFH but that is huge. Way to go bank for making a smart decision. My teammates did not have hybrid and have been their 5 days a week.

Lol @ let’s get back to work and move on

The bank is making money hand over fist and running just as well. Let’s be honest, we’ve all worked more from home because we wanted those in power to realize not only are we successful at home, but we work harder when we’re happier.

If we were all loafing around then things would fall off the deep end, and they haven’t.

It’s actually super insulting that these trolls always respond to the proponents for WFH by saying they’re lazy or don’t work hard. It’s even more insulting since these trolls can barely form intelligible arguments as to why WFH is so awful. Judging by the way they type, I’d guess they’re not the brightest bunch.

Lord help us all of you are in any decision-making role. Bounce houses have not filled hospitals, prevented surgeries, and wrecked havoc on the world. Go back under your bridge.

Research show that "Bounce Houses" have caused more injury and fatalities than the omicron has. It sounds like it's a joke but it's true. Let's get back to work and move on.

It’s not to protect you. It’s to protect them and keep operations running. Giving people a week is just going to make them angry and resentful.

Nobody’s going back until at least March/April. The virus is raging and it will only get worse after the holidays.

Omicron is not harmless. Our hospitals are inundated. There are record breaking numbers of children in the hospital. Yes, for smart, vaccinated adults and older children, it is more mild for most. But not for the immune compromised, young children, or those with serious health risks. Don't be ignorant.

Now everyone go and party like a Rockstar NYE and drive the numbers up so we get an extension.

That’s a good idea on making the connection with the Supreme Court but they came up with that date January 10 before the court set January 7 to hear or-l arguments. Also, they hear arguments that day but it doesn’t mean they render a decision that soon. You are thinking the corps are playing mental chess with dates when they aren’t even playing mental checkers. Perhaps mental tick tac toe…. with Joshua from War Games…

I too have been seeing January 10th as the date for many things, not just Corporate America related and thought it was kinda strange. So I starting googling and learned that the Supreme court is to hold a special session on Biden’s vaccine mandates for workers. It'll take place on January 7th, which is a Friday. And January 10th is that following Monday.

So my guess is that once the ruling comes down that Friday whether Yea or Nay, that the HR cronies at corporations worldwide will have the weekend to get together and decide how to proceed in governing us m̶i̶n̶i̶o̶n̶s̶,̶ ̶p̶e̶a̶s̶a̶n̶t̶s̶,̶ ̶s̶e̶r̶f̶s̶,̶ employees regarding the jab moving forward.

I'm on the the RTO list in JAX for 1-12-21 no notice of a delay for me yet. I requested an accommodation 2 days after I got my RTO notice. Have gotten no response not even an email saying we received your request. The management of the bank is d-mber than dog po-p. The USS Milwaukee with a 100% vaccination rate is stuck in port with a massive Covid-19 outbreak!

A measly week, what a move.

Wfh should be extended until this wave dies down which could be mid-February. I don’t even understand what they hope to accomplish with this.

The optics of bank employees walking past covid testing lines wrapping around the block on the way to the office and seeing coworkers in that same line were pretty bad.
