@1khb+1ezfUDhl Bank of America doesn't need a mandate. They can do as they please. SCOTUS will let employers do as they see fit.

Everybody knows the mandate is unconstitutional, it goes against every principle and the foundation of this country. SCOTUS cannot let politicians, bureaucrats and pharma divide this country.

Work is an activity, not a location.

I don't need to RTO to work, me and 10's of thousands of other BOFA associates can effectively WFH.

Friday the Supreme Court will begin hearing or-l arguments about workplace vaccine mandates. Do you think we will be at home on a week-by-week basis until there is a decision?

By delaying a week they simply are parroting the CDC isolation period of 5 days. They know the New year and Xmas gatherings coupled with 1/2 mil+ cases a day don't mesh well with their beloved RTO plan. This is simply kicking the can down the road in a hopeless and shameless attempt to stick to their g-ns. It's not about our health and we'll being. It's trying to mitigate any amount of risk to the bank. Not for your health and safety.

I hope 2022 is the year of collective voices to make real change. They can outsource the he-l out of the company, but they know the leaders are the onshore native folks. We are the ones that make the bottom line what it is. The rest is cost cutting fillers that can't hold a candle to even the average native "resource" as they call them.

The world is changing and the bank always says to embrace change... it's a two way street now.

As it has been simply stated again and again within these comments, we have already been WFH for almost two years with ZERO impact on our clients. It has definitely come down to work/life balance. The OLD SUITS have the attitude "I had to work in the office all my career. If I had to suffer, than everyone must suffer as well."
I can honestly say that I find it insulting, and since we have already proven our worth, the suits continue to insult our intelligence by stating that "we are stronger together" meaning, lets all get our butts back in the chairs OR ELSE.
Hopefully, they will realize that they will lose a very large portion of their workforce if they don't compromise. A Hybrid schedule is a small price to pay for an already underpaid and overworked work force.

Anyone who claims to be pro RTO is either BS’ing on here, is a paid corporate shill, or gets off on trolling random employee forums.

The question of RTO or WFH isn’t about being afraid of the virus, it’s not a debate around vaccines… it’s about work/life balance for the thousands of us in back office roles who have done our jobs well remotely for the past 2 years. What is the compelling argument for working from an office? Work is an activity, not a place. What is wrong with giving us flexibility that honestly we’ve earned.

If BofA forces RTO 5 days/week combined with weak bonus and pay increases then most employees will hit a breaking point. It will be interesting to see how this tug of war plays out over the coming months.

To the two posters who are essentially saying the same thing re being scared about returning to the office:

It’s not solely about being scared of death due to Covid. The truth is I don’t want to risk catching a virus that can have long term health implications, especially for a job where I am overworked and underpaid. I personally have a friend that is still having neurological issues 7 months later (he was vaxxed). If you catch Covid, the chances of developing long term Covid can still happen even if you’re asymptomatic.

The other thing is that the secret is out guys. We are successful working from home. We can work and have a better balance with our personal lives. We don’t have to commute 3hrs a day to do our jobs well. Things change in life, 100 yrs ago little kids were toiling away in factories and there were zero workers rights. It’s ok for workers to stand up for themselves and demand better treatment. All of you that are so against WFH make no sense to me. If the majority of people find that this works better, and there is no detriment to the actual bottom line then why not do it? Obviously then we get into a whole rabbit ho-e of how workers going into the office help the economy, but workers working from home spend money too but not in the same ways, and that’s the real issue.

This entire thing has to do with money, and how we are a commodity to employers. If we were able to harness the powers of our collective strength we could be getting so much more in life, from our jobs from our government. It makes no sense to me that the wealthiest country in the history of the world doesn’t offer the same security/ protections that other wealthy nations do. We need to stop voting/acting against our interests and stop being obsessed with billionaires and corporations that care nothing for us.

Vaxxed or not, masked or not, one can catch the virus, no difference than one catching the flu. So, if there's a risk of catching the flu and or other sickness by working in an office, does that mean WFH is permanent?

Y'all are just looking for any reason to WFH and not RTO. Just leave already if you don't want to work.

To:ykt+1ezfUDhl,
Some of us even with being fully vaccinated are still very high risk no matter which variant we get. Not only for ourselves but for family members also. I know BM wants to keep all his minions and myrmidons under his thumb. For almost two years I've been working at home still a top performer and non customer facing. There is no reason I can't continue to work from home keeping me and my wife safe.

I'm curious. Most of the people on this forum are normal - there's a couple crazies I've seen (that one vax pusher guy, theres a few or maybe just one that constantly rants about how he hates it here -- bro, just fine a new gig?).

For the normal folks, serious question: Why are you afraid of this virus?

My honest answer: I'm not afraid, statistics are on my and my family's side, and HEAVILY so. Majority are vaccinated, a few are not, but any that are in a riskier category are vaccinated. Their risks are about zero, literally zero according to the CDC. My chances of dying are literally zero percent (vaxxed healthy male). My chances of dying are the same as winning the lottery.

So yeah, why are you all afraid of going back to the office?

Definitely think this is the first step in transitioning back to WFH for the time being. It would be stupid for B of A not to reconsider RTO since every company under the sun is sending employees back home. Flagscape says you must provide a negative COVID test if you want to work in office next week… Seems like B of A is just making stuff up as they go, just like the CDC.

JP Morgan is letting employees work from home until February 1st as of now. I’m sure BOfA will soon do the same.

Right now it's only one week, I think that one week is going to be used to coordinate a broader effort to postpone return in my opinion.

Why only a week? We are all going to get sick at once if required to return.
