Go into a sales role, you get paid what you're really worth there. Settling for a fixed amount is too advantageous for the employer.

Avoid at all costs working for an id--t, your career will go no where. If you find them to be an id--t so does their boss. When it comes time for promotions and times like this, a bad manager will put their tail between their legs and burn their team, because they themselves are barely holding on. A good manager will make sure their team is well rewarded and see's promotions.

I’ve learned years ago not to break my back. Hard work isn’t rewarded - sukking up Is.

Get performance rating of "Needs Improvement" and during the review Manager states I could spend time training the less experienced employees to come a little closer to my very high technical skill level. Manager agrees during that review I have a "very high" technical skill level. What is my motivation to train the less skilled employees here? Can you tell me what? No raise. No bonus.

"run by a cheap dirt bag who loves screwing over employees to enrich himself."

This describes essentially every corporation.

Got 0 last year but that was because no one could get raises above x salary and greater than the midpoint for some positions. It sucks. Look around and get a better position, at WF or elsewhere.

If you're getting below inflation which is like 7-8% they're basically telling you leave so we can replace you with some Indians. They often uses bogus excuses like your at the top of your pay range, whatever that means. Good companies would promote people who perform well... however this isn't a good company and run by a cheap dirt bag who loves screwing over employees to enrich himself.

based on your merit, doesn't sound like you were working too hard in 2021 anyway.

Most people don't get. By default every year its like 1-2%, its nothing. If you want more you have to jump jobs. Internal HR is good with 10% min increase, if they tell you less and they will, they're liars. Idea thing to do is move from bank to bank every 2 years, attempting to get 20%+ salary increases. I've seen peers here leave and 6-7 years later they're back 2-3 levels higher. Never stay in a role very long.

What was your rating, title, and where do you stand on the pay scale relative to midpoint?

Exactly the same as if you'd got 10%, which is to say 'not much'.

Sounds like the plan is working. Give people you want gone low raises, they drop down work level, you put em on Needs improvement for mid year, get rid of them for poor performance the following year. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

If they did that to me, i would just look for another job all day. Man's gotta eat with groceries 20% higher.

Meetings - Avoid anything and everything, if forced click join and then put headset down
Manager wants something - tell them it will take a while, drag it out, no rapid responses
Other teams want something - Ignore

Be a side hu----r
