Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The market has spoken, BoD must ACT

What a response from the bean counters. Record low PE, stock crashes as dividend is boosted. Four factories on the horizon and four new technology nodes in four years, let’s not forgot the unprecedented interest in Intel Foundry, big honking fabs ………………………..

Pat is energetic, charismatic, a good snake oil salesman, and a good b00t li---r. But it is clear the former x86 circuit designer kid wonder who has no clue to silicon manufacturing, lithograph, or Foundry. The guy who was CTO yet failed to Intel in position to capitalize and see mobile and low power, AI, ain’t really going to be able fix the messy things that continue to ruin Intel, the street has spoken.

When will the BoD perform the required first ACT?

Leadership requires both strategy and execution.

CHIPS act and government handouts can help a bit with financials but can never overcome fundamental strategy flaws nor execution failures.

My take is even given government handouts and perfect execution ( 4 nodes over 4 years, which I don’t believe they can do ). The fundamental strategy isn’t competitive nor compelling and why wallstreet is so heavily discounting Intel.

We definitely can’t follow every swing of Wallstreet if we want to get back to leadership.

My two cents, there won’t be any major changes anytime soon.
