When a kid who joined last month gets the same pay as somebody who's been here for years you can't wonder why so many people are leaving. I'm thinking of quitting and then applying again after I take a few weeks off. I'll get the same pay for less responsibility. Considering that years with the company mean nothing here, there's no downside.

That is absolutely true. Dedication means nothing to the company. I’m all for giving higher wages but you need to give to everyone and not just raise top out pay for long term associates
I worked for the company for longer than I want to admit. I took a lot of pride in my work. Cared about the members, coworkers, and managers I worked for. Corporate no longer values any of these things. They have destroyed a great company. Each year we are making less money than the year before. You can only get so much blood out of a turnip. The few experienced associates left are carrying the stores. When they are gone it will be interesting.
Vacation time!!! I easily earn almost 2 months of pto while newbies have to wait 2 years to earn any.
100 % I AGREE WITH THIS BEING A DEDICATED EMPLOYEE FOR OVER TEN YEARS THIS IS WHY I AM JOB HUNTING !
look at yourself in the mirror, and ask yourself why you making that same amount. you have the tools to be successful, why haven't you climb through the ranks? why are you worried what you can't change?
Take your vacation and look for employment that values you! YOU WILL NOT FIND IT AT SAMS/WALMART.
0% chance you're going to do that. Take your pay and stop worrying about what everyone else makes. My life has never been impacted by my coworkers finances.
Lose of vacation time😉
