About time!
@1zlq+1f4S8yEL Nah…. I’m pretty sure we can replace the treasurers folks with some from H town
The upgrades required on the Houston Campus are probably why waiting 1.5 years. Those Execs will want huge offices with fireplaces and connected private bathrooms.
Probably will reserve an entire floor of a garage for the elite too.
There’s no need for layoffs when there’s PIPs to execute. And now you can’t complain you have no exposure to the Gods!
Was in the Dallas office before I left last fall. It’s not just execs there. There’s a good chunk of junior folks, especially in Treasurers. A lot of folks are pi---d. Dallas is much nicer living and most folks own homes there. Bad miscalculation by management.
Irving will not be offered a severance package if opt not to move. Relocation, yes. If they’re smart they will all leave. The “fancy study” likely didn’t take into account talent and attrition projections are typically wrong. This isn’t a career company anymore and HR hasn’t evolved to keep up. Now they are keeping two women in President jobs to cover up the lack of diversity elsewhere.
How many people are in Irving? I have no idea. Thanks.
Finally, we will see the big hairs in the campus. We will set them on fire!
I’m pretty stoked. Working out with Darren at the gym…”Leg workout today, bro? My delta are blasted from yesterday”
This is one a lot of employees complained about in 2020/2021. The # of questions around "why don't we save cost by closing the Dallas office" ... Now we've got it.
Gotta give some credit where due...
Just think of all the meaningful conversations we can have with the gods in the Chick-fil-A line haha
“No plans for layoffs”. Isnt what was said back in 2020? How can we trust this management? Keep looking for new opportunities everyone, let the brain drain continue!
WSJ article: "Exxon spokesman Casey Norton said there wouldn’t be any layoffs as part of the reorganization."
Oh good, the people who got us into this mess are sticking around! And they're getting fat relo packages too!
OMG...Please his majesty King Darren said the exact same thing back in May 2020 and look how that turned out.
You say this maybe in sarcasm but in Fairfax, they had their own building, parking and security entrance.
250 senior execs moving to the campus? They going to need their own building (maybe two) and a parking garage. Inside there won't be any of the cubicals and fish bowl offices they so proudly created for everyone else. There will be a coffee station on every floor. At their own food court the waiters will have a little white towel draped on their arm. Am I forgetting anything?
They will take one section of the campus and build a tall wall around it, to make sure that the Gods don’t have to endure the proximity of the commoners, who would be ready to show their gratitude for everything done for (to?) them.
They WONT be at Spring campus, I garauntee
great, now we will have complete floors of buildings and parking garages blocked off and away for us common folk
If Irving has fallen, there is zero chance for the fat cats in New Jersey and elsewhere
Is this after or before DW elects to retire to spend more time with his millions??
Now we can sell all those jets used to ferry people from Houston to Dallas and back every day.
Houston Campus is so large that those $20,000 per hour Execs will “Earn” $5000 just walking to a meeting.
moving the god pod to houston. How egalitarian of them.....
Employees have been asking this question for decades. I guess we needed to wait and have a very expensive study to tell our leaders that they should be located with its employees somewhere. It looks like the winner is the XOM Spring campus. I try not to be too negative on this site but I really don’t know why it took this long to realize this needed to be done.
These AHs will lock themselves away in a secure location/building on campus or be “out of office”
I don’t see them walking around campus with the common folk.
@thw+1f4S8yEL that's right. Layoffs are costly. PIPs don't cost money. So Casey is right, Layoffs are not in near sight, PIPS are. Remember we have been and continue to be told that PIP is gold for us. Now you understand, if you didn't before?

Just announced it in the global employee forum
Yep, it's true. Now we might see these pricks walking around campus. I hope they cordon off a mahogany encrusted private area with gourmet dining and private exercise quarters so they don't need to mingle with the peons.
True. https://www.wsj.com/articles/exxon-to-move-headquarters-to-houston-11643648706#:~:text=XOM%200.62%25%20is%20moving%20its,will%20be%20completed%20by%202023.
What exactly is Clean Sheet Initiative and what is its impact? What does it mean for the company and its employees
It is true, just announced today. Its part of CS&I consolidations.
It's definitely real news. Email just sent out talking about CS&I
Fake news.
