Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Should I leave

Been at Intel 5 years and I'm starting to dread going in the fab. It's like a ghost town.
Have I overstayed my welcome there?when I first started I was a pretty quick learner on equipment and was strictly doing that up until the last year, and once I got a new manager they completely shoved me onto the computer in a dying area.
Should I move to another company?

Don’t forget rideshare. You can seriously earn good money on the side and get to be your own boss! That is way better than push to the side under a new manger.

I dont think anyone should have second thought about leaving intel if you are capable enough to land offer..
Even if that means foregoing 2-3 years of stock..
Semiconductor industry is doinh good in general and most companies are on right track…

Do it, dude! This is the time, economy is good, jobs are available and you can get a higher salary. Go for it and don't look back! The last thing you want is to be stuck at a place like Intel during a recession. Get out while you can!!!!

I worked with some fab dweebs once. What a mess. They were the biggest whiners and and very arrogant. Total jerks.

It is easy to jump into a growing company. AMD was behind now their employees enjoy the fruit of their labor. If you stay and make Intel better, you will have accomplished something vs jumping into a successful company. Intel has been here before and will get back better. The total comp won't be that much different. Sure, the stock shares might be better but those companies stocks have peaked or peaking.

Hi this is the op, I'm only 30 years old and I actually don't feel good being there and not contributing ya know? It makes me lose my self worth I guess.
But I'm also lost on what other companies to look at for new employment that are good!

I had some similar experience last year. Intel is not a good workplace for people who want to do more like you. I left and joined a new company with growth mindset. I am very happy now.

If you have to ask the question, you know the answer. GTFO, you won’t regret it. Good luck.
