New hires are the problem

If you wonder why the treatment of employees is getting worse and worse, just look at the new hires. They seem to be more than happy to let others mistreat them and step on them while having no desire to complain since they're happy to have a job. They're making the work environment worse for all of us. Grow a backbone! It's not okay that your boss yells at you 24/7 and it's not okay for you to do the work of five people for the same pay. You're being exploited and you keep smiling as it's happening. Sad, sad, sad.

They know they can treat you like garbage.
They know they can get away with it.
They know you aren't going to do anything.

The reality is the 30 year career at one company is over.

You need to adopt the mercenary mindset and move jobs every 2 years like many of our senior managers do. Otherwise you are going to be treated like po-p qnd stuck in that po-p.

That's not what's happening in this area.

The new hires are coddled and babied. They do about 1/10th of the job required.

Meanwhile the tenured staff does their entire required job, and then also completes the other 90% of the new hires job that no manager is making them do..

So in this area new hires love it because they get paid for doing almost nothing, while the tenured staff picks up all the work they don't do.

Managers claim we have to baby and coddle them to retain them at all costs because we need the 10% they are giving us so desperately.

UNBELIEVABLE!
