It took more than five years to bring 10nm to production and now it is in production Marin’s are crashing. Now Intel will magically do 4 nodes in four years, WTF? Just get the first high NA EUV was the problem?
Intel couldn’t make make Foundry compelling when when Intel was a silicon leader and had scale, now they aren’t a leader, don’t have scale and Foundry will now be successful while the competitors are even bigger, more cost effective and have a two generation lead in technology!
Intel’s margins are crashing indicating yield / pricing issues as well as competitive issues against competitors that have better technology and more cost effective fabs!
What am I missing ?
