Only few manager pets are converted to Senior Software Engineers. Not sure what is the future of the rest of the Senior Systems Quality Assurance Analysts. They messed up the entire QA wing.

Obviously you are a newbie who has no idea how things actually work here.
A lot of these great automation scripts just see if they get a response from the UI, not what the response actually is. Could be a 404 for all it knows and says it passed. Then you have production defects galore reported by the business after implementation and clueless management wonders why.
Been there, saw that, it doesn’t work.
The standard "QA" around here who are manual test script monkeys aren't going to exist in a year or two. The rest of the industry moved to unit tests and automated integration a decade ago. Real QA these days write code that tests code, so that if you leave tomorrow, your tests are still here. The days of blindly following a test script day in and day out are over.
People working on automation for years were not given Senior Software Engineer title, but people don't know what is "A" in automation are given Senior Software Engineer title. Very cheap politics by managers and demotivating environment.
I have seen this automation attempt at Chase as well with disastrous results. Bottom line, with system changes and no maintenance because of being cheap, the automated scripts became useless within a year. Needless to say, all the knowledge was out the door from their foolishness and they had to hire people who had no clue about the business or systems to do the work.
Besides, you can’t automate everything anyway. You are lucky to do anything but regression testing and even those have to be constantly maintained as things change.
People never learn, especially those who have never actually done the job.
The title of Software Engineer has become a joke. It is the new "catch all" title for everyone who doesn't exactly fit into any other slot.
I'm hearing of everyone from administrative assistants to QA testers to mailroom clerks getting "recharacterized" as Software Engineers because some "senior leader" decreed that "we need a certain percentage of employees to be Engineers".
As somebody who actually IS an Engineer - with the student loans to prove it - I find this theater rather despiriting.
The software industry- including Wells- is moving away from non-TDD (for better or worse).
People presently in QA should either attempt to convert to an actual development role (at Wells or somewhere else), or shift into other roles that leverage the analyst side (be it any number of things on the business side, to Scrum Masters, to Project Managers).
Meaning, both roads require work to evolve your career, but- on the bright side- you own your career. Make of it what you will. Best of luck.
When i hear about QA transforming into a software engineer i have to laugh. How many Project Managers have i seen at this place given a technical title and the pump out ppt slides, total joke.
Ive heard the same rumor as @okn. Better buckle up QAs. Dust off that resume or prepare for some jockeying to take place to keep a spot. any spot.

@npz, not true. I know few QA folks who are still doing manual testing but their title was changed to Senior Software Engineer. They are not into automation in any form or shape..
QA Analysts were warned for years to upskill and learn automation. Those that unskilled were made Software Engineer being a manager's pet does not have much to do with it.
I bet if OP unskilled, OP would have been a Senior Software Engineer by now.
Your resume better be current if you still have a 'QA' in your title.
Are you serious? All ‘software engineers’ were converted to Senior Software Engineer. It’s a more common title now than a regular Software Engineer. Pretty much a running joke.
