There IS NO forum within Nike to express even half of the comments here.
And what few forums there are (ie, chat in all-hands meetings) the moderators disable when potentially 'controversial' topics come up (like return to office).

If you are not prepared to tow the line on whatever social cause or dictate that comes down from on high, then buckle up. Do not speak your mind. Do not voice your concern or opinion. Not to your manager, not to your colleague, and not to your working team.

We embrace diversity and inclusion...so long as you fit the mold and agree with what the herd thinks.

What a joke.

Trolls? Go look at this board for some of the other big name companies, especially in tech. Nothing comes close to the anger that Nike generates. Columbia Sportswear doesn’t even have an entry even though the more is some “Nike Culture” that snuck in over there.

It’s because it didn’t used to be like this and doesn’t have to be. It’s a bloated whale of a company…. If stock analysts only knew what goes on here.

@pve
I have to imagine Nike workers lost a lot of trust in JD after that employee survey that resulted in the first of ongoing rounds of layoffs. Remember "You asked for this"?

I can assure anyone reading that this is absolutely reflective of the culture at Nike, it’s largely frustrated and dissatisfied corporate employee base, and (very) high turnover it’s experiencing.

Also, I will note that there are many, many other large (1Bn$ plus) organizations out there with little or no presence on TheLayoff. The implications should be obvious

this forum is about the culture and inability to express opinions and feelings about your workplace. 95% of the issues that are expressed here can be voiced at workplace with different departments and can be addressed. This forum definitely says a lot about how company ignores the basic need of being heard, and of course it triggers the need to vent elsewhere. inadequate managers, promotions not being based on merit but by whom you know, feeling that the talent is not managed, overly compensated execute level, employees taking advantage of every perk company offers them, how Nike drives employees to become self obsessed, lazy individuals, how all U band and below employees think that they are given enough money and opportunities for the little work they do...you can really learn a lot by doing some reading here.

@ros - yes.. you are the troll.

Many of the threads speak directly about culture. People come here to vent, to learn (with a grain of salt sometimes), to share with 90% being about culture.

@ros, no! You are totally misguided. It does say that Nike’s culture and work environment is bad.

The activity in this forum says very little about the culture at Nike.
Says a lot about internet trolls though :)
