I don't know about other areas but if you check out postings in tech there are literally 100's of jobs it seems like.

It will all depend on how much they need to manipulate the stock price to cash out later this year. If they need to cut more expenses to make it look good, layoffs will increase. It’s all a game to these people and the American worker is the one who suffers as a result.

Wrong, and the sheer number of them coming this year will make last year look small in comparison.
Rumors about tech in March, but we've all been burned on predictions in the past.
Sometimes because someone makes a mistake, or makes something up, or as many people have said, WF HR can't get out of their own way.

I think to a large degree layoffs are done, voluntary attrition due to compensation is what has replaced forced layoffs.
Sure, and that is why my closest co worker is leaving and announced it immediately after reviews.
Don’t worry mid years is right around the corner! Start the whining about how they are only grading you based on three months of goals and not a full half year.
Got my largest bonus ever and a substantially sizable raise, unlike years. General consensus on anonymous pay sharing apps like fishbowl and blind has been, if you were even a halfway decent worker this year, you were actually rewarded very nicely for once.
Any flack you're getting in response to posts like this are from the people who didn't get a nice payoff, so keep in mind the kind of worker you're dealing with when you get the negative comments. It's all of the lowlifes who don't do their job.

I got a shared success card and a bunch of BS on how valued I am plus a 1.8% raise. They then added the increase for the bonus buyout and made it sound like the total increase was generous. Typical lies.

Someone is assuming that everyone got a lot of money which is false for 90% of the company who aren’t in the nosebleed section. But that’s Corporate America as a whole, not unique to this place.
