Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

I, for one, am exited…

…about spending three hours a day commuting to and from my douche new office location.

Good luck asking with your hat-in-hand for immediate coding support (as is common) when I’m stuck in traffic.

You are as backward as you are callous.

Already one interview for a full-time remote position next week (It’s a job seekers market.)

Lots of people want to get back to their 'relationships' that have been severely cramped by WFH.

It will be interesting to see how many people start seriously looking once they're forced back to the office. My commute would be 45 miles each way in heavy traffic with a bridge toll in there too. And I agree with the original post as to tech support. Once that laptop clicks shut at the office, it's not opening again until the next workday.

on mysource - there are actually lemmings posting how excited they are to get back to the office to see their co-workers..... these people must have no friends or family - sad

It's OK. They'll learn to copy/paste Stack Overflow like you in no time.

Immediate coding support? Can’t you just make a list of the codes for your coworkers?

Yep. Be careful not to exit too soon.

I wouldn't be "exited" about that...excited, maybe, but not exited.
